links please. Should be easy since it was explained several times. I just tried to find it and only found articles about bots retweeting Trump 500k in the last couple of months of the election. In Twitter speak, that's like keeping a secret.

Are you questioning the claims of a congenital liar? Have you no shame Sir?

Or are you simply a masochistic exhibitionist who enjoys embarrassing folks who can't help themselves being handicapped of Truth?

Either way, shame on you @Pospecteer ! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I saw an old man who could not remember the dossier and had no clue of the political conflicts of interest of the staff he hired. Inexcusable and he totally destroyed the credibility of the one sided investigation. Even the fake news knew it immediately. Best day ever in recent GOP history. Time to prosecute some real snakes and alligators. Drain the swamp.
lol it doesn't change what's in the report.

Trump and Repubs seem to welcome interference from foreign governments in U.S. elections and hate efforts to hold those that interfered accountable.

Shifft took calls from foreign comedians that had dirt on DJT. And the comedian recorded it. Wish I had the link...

Excellent, please correct me if don't speak lawyer:
  • This document does not make any claim that Concord interacted with Trump or his campaign.
  • This document does expand the powers of the SC to include prosecution of any 3rd party that they felt interfered with the election.
    • The Steele Dossier did include material that was sourced by the Russian Gov. so therefore it should have been investigated by the SC.

True on number 1.
Wrong on #2
Wrong on #2b - The SC was appointed to investigate "any links and/or coordination between the Russian government and individuals associated with the campaign of President Donald Trump; and (ii) any matters that arose or may arise directly from the investigation; "

Surely you aren't claiming the Steele Dossier was linked to, or coordinated by, the Trump campaign? It is a separate review within the DOJ. The SC appointment was narrowly held to the above language so that investigation could be viewed as independently as possible, in regards to the Trump campaign links and association with the Russian government.

Fear not, a number of posters on this board say indictments will be rolling in on the Steele dossier and other DEEPSTATE treason.

Why are you quoting another document? Let's go with this one since it is a court ruling. Like I said, I am not a lawyer so please mansplain this to me so that I can understand. The underlined part expanded the scope to investigate individuals or entities that are part of the Russian Gov.

Concord faults the indictment for lacking allegations regarding the Russian government, President Trump’s campaign, links or coordination between Concord and the Russian government or President Trump’s campaign, or interference by Concord with the Special Counsel’s investigation. See Concord Mem. at 61. The appointment order, however, does not limit the Special Counsel to investigating individuals and entities that are part of the Russian government. Rather, the Special Counsel may investigate the Russian government’s interference “efforts,” which involved non-governmental third parties. See Opp’n at 57 (citing Intelligence Community Assessment, Assessing Russian Activities and Intentions in Recent U.S. Elections at 2 (Jan. 6, 2017)). Concord’s alleged actions are therefore within the scope of the Special Counsel’s investigation. Because the investigation of Concord was authorized, so was the prosecution. See Appointment Order ¶ (c) (authorizing the Special Counsel “to prosecute federal crimes arising from the investigation”); Manafort, 2018 WL 3126380, at *8. Therefore, by investigating and prosecuting Concord, the Special Counsel did not exceed his authority.

CONCLUSION

For the foregoing reasons, the Court denies Concord’s Motion to Dismiss the Indictment Based on the Special Counsel’s Appointment and Authority. Dkt. 36. A separate order consistent with this decision accompanies this memorandum opinion.

While the report and the investigation was a bunch of hooey, as a decorated combat Vet., he has served his country well and deserves to retire in peace and quiet.
You place yourself in front of the firing squad you better be ready to duck whether a combat vet or not....After observing his recent performance , he should have retired years ago....

By highlighted you mean underlined? That did not expand the scope. It points out the error in Concord's argument. Saying an appointment order does not limit something is not an expansion of scope, it's a ruling on the appointment order itself.

Judging by Mueller's staffing choices, he may not be very interested in justice

Weissmann’s prosecution devastated the lives and families of the Merrill executives, causing enormous defense costs, unimaginable stress and torturous prison time. The 5th Circuit Court of Appeals reversed the mass of the case.

Weissmann quietly resigned from the Enron Task Force just as the judge in the Enron Broadband prosecution began excoriating Weissmann’s team and the press began catching on to Weissmann’s modus operandi.

Don't be a dick...I corrected it to make it easier to read.

Sorry, not buying your explanation. You are right, it did not expand the scope, it ruled that it had the authority all along. Concord tried to get the indictment thrown out saying that since they were not connected to Trump they were out of bounds. The court ruled that since it involved the Russian Gov that it was within scope of the SC.

He was supposed to investigate all Russian attempts to "interfere" in the election. Misfud's disinformation certainly gained the attention of the FBI who thought a member of Trump's campaign had been "targeted" by Russians. So much so that they requested a FISA warrant to spy on Carter Page.

How that dossier, Misfud, or Page escaped enhanced scrutiny from Mueller or his team is something "I'm not ready to get into". [eyeroll]
I didn't read the amended document to investigate ALL. I did read the original that he mentioned Trump. Nowhere did it mention Clinton. I didn't see any reason to read the amended version if he had the balls to specify Trump.

Wasn't trying to be a dick that time.

No, they ruled that it arose from the investigation on any links and/or coordination between the Russian government and individuals associated with the campaign of President Donald Trump;.

The appointment order was not a blanket investigation with regards to the Russian government in total.

Where did you get that? Please provide where that was stated in the court determination? Concord never interacted with Trump or the campaign, yet the courts ruled that they were indeed within scope.

I can't understand why that dossier and/or Steele were of zero interest to Mueller when Russians were linked to both? Can you explain that? I can't.

They were within the scope because the arose from the SC investigation between Trump campaign and Russian government. I am not trying to be a dick, but I don't know how else to explain it to you. The Steele dossier does not fall in that scope, but it is being reviewed by other DOJ personnel. In our system of laws courts cannot widen a scope, merely interpret the orders, statues, laws, etc. Over and over they have ruled Mueller did not expand his scope. Mueller also referred several other matters that were not within their scope to DOJ field offices - most obviously Cohen.

This document is full of good stuff. Please advise on the following information. It states that the AG may change the scope of the investigation at any time and that the SC can ask for guidance at any time to determine if they are in scope. This pretty much makes the scope document obsolete as soon as it was signed....

Page 12

Supervision, Oversight, and Final Decisionmaking Power
As to the first and second factors emphasized by Edmond, the Acting Attorney General

establishes the parameters of the Special Counsel’s investigation at its outset, and Department of Justice policies frame the investigation as it proceeds. The investigation only comes into existence by the action of the Acting Attorney General, 28 C.F.R. § 600.1, and the Acting Attorney General defines the scope of the Special Counsel’s “jurisdiction,” id. § 600.4(a). The Special Counsel may request “additional jurisdiction,” but only the Acting Attorney General can grant the request. Id. § 600.4(b). Also, throughout the investigation, the Special Counsel “shall consult with appropriate offices within the Department for guidance with respect to established practices, policies and procedures.” Id. § 600.7(a). This consultation requirement affords the Acting Attorney General the opportunity to exert his supervisory powers, which will be discussed further below.

The Steele dossier was the primary focus of the FISA request to spy on a member of the Trump campaign suspected of ties to Russia! It's OK to lie, but being ignorant still is no excuse. However in your case both can be excused since your aversion to Truth is indeed congenital.
