2007, Bret Bielema was a total dick in winning that game. Friend had can of beer thrown at him at a bar. Harassed out of town after the game. The best was the Hawkeye flag that we hung over the hotel room door on away games was burned with a lighter. Screw that place.

But did State Street many times without Hawkeye gear, and even did some classes at the Wisconsin School of Business (was it called Peirson at the time?). Oh and Great Taste of the Midwest. Those jackasses sure can ruin a fun time if you sport a tiger hawk.

Mixed results, fans were rude at the games but ok at the bars. Prefer Nebraska and Northwestern trips. Great fans and always invited to join their tailgates.

We are going this fall with a group of 7. Never been there. Where do you tailgate? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

We had a pretty good streak attending away games in Madison. It eventually became way too hostile that we decided to end the trips. I remember reading a gameday article from one of the local newspapers. They revealed that Madison was ranked the worst for fan behavior towards visiting fans. They encouraged fans to clean up their act.

if you tailgate, probably the Meriter hospital Lot on Regent St. If you don’t wanna deal with the hassle of tailgating, tons of outdoor beer gardens on Regent grilling brats, burgers, etc….We usually hit the Big 10 pub on Regent, it’s a good time.

Went a long time ago. At one point it the game half the crowd stood up, pointed and yelled "Fu$k" and the other half said "You".

Most cops and highway patrol I've ever seen at a game.
