we have some idiot fans that just amaze me. When Cal retires and the next guy struggles to get the top talent in the first year he is here they will want that coach gone too .
He assembled the team, he's responsible for the product on the floor. Period.
I think it’s nuts to say you would want Cal fired. It’s been a terrible season but we won the league by 4 games last year. If we suck next year then it’s probably time to have a conversation.

This isn't the 1950's. The sec is a LOT better now a days than when it was a one team league.

Cal. I know you will eventually decide to hang it up, all coaches do at some time. I hope you stay on after this horrible year. You have done a great deal since you signed on here and I want you and the UK fans to have another good run. Do not pay attention to the attention whores on this message board. There are about 15 of them that love to make up posts everyday. Posts directed to hurt your status as a coach and sometimes, to hurt individual players. They do not represent the UK fanbase. I write this only because this group keeps saying that you read this message board. The message above is from Basscat, yeah, I know, he picked that name. He told you to get the hell out. You see, the attention whores are also charming.
Dude there’s nothing wrong with expressing your opinion about the head coach. Your expressions are positive. Mine just happen to be negative. If you agree with bringing in players who aren’t good enough to collectively win at the highest level on the college level but leave after 1 year then that’s on u. But this program will never be elite again as long as he’s the man in charge and recruiting this way. Not to mention the fact that he can’t get anything better than a 5-10 record out of the number 1 class
You say this every day. Every day. I believe we have been elite since Cal got here. I do not like this year but I am not joining with you in calling, nonstop mind you, for Cal to leave. Your last post yelling to Cal to get the hell out is just so stupid and vain. , I had to respond. I shouldn't say anything but to sit back and watch day after day of the assses like you take over the board with stupid statements like the one I responded to is something I seemingly cant do.
I don’t understand how someone can be ok with this **** show and the only excuse the $9 million man has is “guys won’t shoot the ball”. His comments are half of my issue with him. He’s all about John Calipari. Nothing is ever his fault.
That is your opinion, not mine. My opinion is that you represent a very vocal minority. If this type of basketball continues on in the future, Cal will have to leave but it will not because of you and the ManitouDans' of the world.
I think we will see a move back to the upper echelon next year. If we continue to struggle next year I will probably stop defending him and the program. Depends on the circumstances.
Based on the direction of the program under Cal, do you think guys like BJ, Clarke and Jackson will return next season?
No, I do not. I, like many, think they they will be gone. I think everyone of them should be back. Returning would improve their draft position. I do think most of the team will be back though. At least I hope so.
If you do think those 3 are gone then I think you should know the answer about whether or not Ky will be one of the top teams next year. Not a chance. iMO I guess I should say
Clarke may be our best player but he hasnt played much , so how do we miss him. Boston has been the most criticized player I can remember but I think he will be missed. We will definitely miss Jackson.
Like you have posted in the past, we need 3 and 4 year guys. I think there is a vast amount of improvement our returning guys will experience. I like the guys we have recruited so far and I expect another one or two to come in.
