Cal is too much of a narcissist to leave but he should. it only goes downhill once you lose this much of the fan base. Only chance he has of saving himself from the ire of fans moving forward is something he will never do... ditch assistants and hire ones that know offense and change to a traditional style program.. something he's not interested in doing.

If you add a guard that can take his guy off the dribble plus with what they have committed this team should be good. The players will be more experienced and stronger and I’m not ready to kick a coach to the curb after he’s had an off year. You bring in another coach and some fans will be ready to fire him after his first double digit loss season. And you have Barnhart making the hire so good luck with that.

The only negative I see is we aren't losing you and the ones bellyaching daily on here. I wish a bunch of you would leave for good though lol.

He won't be canned but after next year he probably will resign. When a fan base deserts you there are not enough Matt Jones camp followers to keep the mob away.

We are in totally new territory though because no coach has ever had such a ridiculous buyout in college and has performed so poorly. Predicting what's going to happen with this is way beyond my little abilities. It would seem that a good start would be getting rid of the person that put us into this mess. If cals buy out makes fixing the program for a few years impossible, then Mitch needs to be long gone.

It’s the least you can do for this mess you’ve put together this season and the dumb moves you’ve made. We’re not asking anymore, we are demanding. Get the hell out!!!!! Hopefully he’s gone by morning after this post lol

It makes coaching really hard when a team is offensively challenged.

Cal has had 6 off years. Half of his seasons are 10 loss seasons.

He’s had nine double digit loss seasons in 32 years of coaching and four of those are during his twelve year run here at UK. You find a coach with a better resume that will take this job and put up with all the nonsense that goes with it. I’m sure you can find another Gillespie out there.

I would rather this year humble Calipari and let him turn things around. That’s the thing also Cal won’t admit to being wrong about recruiting the one and done but you can tell he’s already changing his recruiting by signing Hopkins, Hickman plus guys like Askew and Ware.

I don't think he's changing his recruiting at all he's just missing most of his top targets now.

Lol. My kids had more emotional maturity at age three than about a dozen people on this board. I pity your families.

Are your fefe’s hurt? Are you sullen and snappy because most of the fans on here are tired of ****** basketball and the lame garbage Cal spews out all the time? Cmon man grow up and be a man and stop being an emo. Stop being a beta male and realize that majority of us on here are just as big of UK fans as you but feel that it’s time for Cal and UK to part ways.

5-10 baby!

I want Kentucky to win as much as anyone on this board and have been a fan longer -- I saw the 1966 team in Memorial Coliseum.

I just don't deal with the occasional bad year by rolling around on the floor in hysterics with tears of frustration flowing down my face and the demeanor of a two year old throwing a tantrum.

But if that helps you deal with losing out on your entitled season of Wildcat Fun, then by all means go ahead.

Occasional bad year? This is the worst team in 100 years

Won the SEC outright one year ago. Went to overtime to play in the Final Four two years ago. Played in more Final Fours and More Elite Eights and won a championship in the past eight tournaments.

Anyone with an IQ of a cabbage knows this isn't a typical year - no summer of bonding for new recruits or cupcake games because of Covid-19, not ONE player with a minute's experience on the court through the first eight games, the best recruit out with an injury most of the season. Is some of that Cal's fault? Sure. And a lot of it is bad luck and an historic pandemic and so on.

So, let's burn the whole thing down because of a bad year. That's the way a child looks at life.

You’re crazy! Lol I thought he coached a good game but he’s not the one missing shots point blank at the rim and he’s not the one turning the ball over. I imagine you were the one that had UK getting mud stomped anyway lol. This team if they stay together is a year away
OP joined here this month. All posts have been like this. Has an obvious agenda. Likely a UL or IU fan.

You are missing the point entirely. We pay Cal $10 million per year to put a winning program on the court. He is 100% responsible for the train wreck.

No coach will coach a perfect game. Never have. Right now to our fan base, one small thing not going our way in a game will get cal blasted . (Including missed layups). When there are ten thousand people wanting things exactly how they want it, you will never hear them satisfied.

next year will be no better...…….there still is no quick point guard, nor is there any shooters
MAYBE if Hardy & the kid from Wi both come to UK, they might make it over .500

I feel this team will be so much better next year with a normal season in front of them. This year with all the players he had to replace and an abnormal season was doomed from the start.

Terrible season but Holy crap yall are intense. We have 1 ridiculously awful season during a historic pandemic period and yall want Cal to go thst bad? The grass ain't always greener. Cal has done enough for me to chalk this season up to a loss and move on to next year. But I don't want him gone.

Cal has guided the program directly into an awful season and is rightfully feeling some heat. I can’t see him resigning no matter how bad it gets, because his contract is too lucrative.
