Cal needs to change his philosophy

It's true and yes it's pretty comical but let's not forget UK fans doing the very same thing with throwing Cal under the bus before he came to UK. I was here. I read it.

Fan bases talk a lot of smack until they get the opportunity to be on top. You'd see KU fans change their minds faster that Twoface if Cal had gone to KU. It would be "WELCOME HOME CAL" and we'd be saying the same exact things you guys do.

Well.....................while I agree with the majority of your post, I do take issue a bit about UK fans throwing Cal under the bus. We hear that ALL. THE. TIME. from rival fans...................."All of you thought Cal was a cheater until he came to UK", and that's absolutely just not true.

To the best of my knowledge, these fans are drawing from a thread that was indeed on this forum at one time. True, there were some posters that felt that way, but when I went back and read it, at least half disagreed and said they would love to have him here. But I can't tell you how many times we hear that we all hated Cal and thought he was sleazy until UK hired him. I certainly didn't. I'll admit I was a little leery at first, only because I only knew what was rumored. However, I had never taken the time (or cared enough) to check out any facts. When It became real that UK was interested in him, I paid a little more attention and then found myself 100% hoping we could snag him away from Memphis.

He had upper classmen Lee, Poy, Willis. The funny thing about people complaining about one and done is when we have a player that struggles in his first year or doesn't play much in his first year(Willis,Matthews etc) half of this board suggest they should transfer yet you guys want upper classmen at the same time

Dumb thread. Cal has the exact same philosophy as every other coach in America: get the best players he can get, and as many of them as he can. Period.

That's absolutely what it boils down to. If you can have a few really good 3 or 4 year players sprinkled in as well, all the better.
