I believe the OP that at this time what he is hearing is true, but I also know things change. Stranger things have happened. I hope that it stays with "HE GONE". I will continue to hold my breath until I see the house on Richmond Road go up for sale. Heck for me he could leave tonight like Baltimore Colts did way back when. I expect we will have 1 to 2 more below standard seasons but will be entertaining to watch. Heck if Cal was running 40 minutes of press or we were scoring 90 plus a game without D and losing we will still be mad but not have this feeling of dread each game day. I did not watch USC game, I did not watch most of the Bama game, I did watch some of LSU. I will not watch Saturday (will keep an eye on it) but not watch. Cannot stand to see guys standing around looking at 1 or 2 guys dribbling. Just cannot do it.

Ian Jackson announcing this weekend. Should be interesting.
If he delays his announcement then this is probably happening. No reason for him to announce UK if that was his plan and Cal is leaving. However, if Cal is staying and he wants UK, then announce. If he wants someone else, then announce

Cal is definitely leaving after this season. Whether that 5-10 years from now, it will definitely be AFTER this season.

One way or the other posers are going to be revealed soon. Been to many of these parties over the years,

holy cow people are gullible and stupid.
No surprise you wouldn't believe it. You have bashed players year and year and defended Cal.
My God man open you're eyes. This program is a disaster. He is 100% gone at seasons end. It's as obvious as the nose on your face.
I have no sources. None. But if you don't see it. I don't know what to tell you.

The most unrealistic thing I’ve read in this entire thread is that someone on the staff will still be here next year. Only way that happens is if they become the next head coach in my opinion. I don’t see Chin, Orlando, or KT staying, and the next guy won’t keep Bruiser. Also Ian Jackson isn’t picking UK so don’t get your hopes up.

I understand. If I named this person- and most on this forum know him- there could be problems for him. I can’t do that. Just thought I would share this info. May never get any more relevant info in the future- but Cal is leaving.
If true and Im calling bs you won’t.

As much as we need a change, does anyone think he will ride out this year’s clown show, then bolt before this mega class comes in? Way more likely to leave after next season.
He’s get personal joy leaving and taking the class with him. He has a massive ego and he has often shown his disdain for the fanbase despite the occasional lip service and backwards compliment. Wouldn’t surprise me at all for him to not only leave but wait until the last possible second with the class already aware and onboard with following as an attempt to leave us with as narrow of a window as possible to conduct a search and the new coach get guys out of the portal.

Agreed. I mean it in the way in which he will be perceived and talked about. I know he doesn’t care about UK
Cal is already laying the groundwork to place the blame on MB and BBN for his program failing as he burns it to the ground on his way out the door.

That Tucker article was just the first of many "Cal is a victim" and "it's all Mitch's fault" and "BBN ran Cal off" media campaign coming directly from Cal's camp.

Ray Charles could see this coming.

“Look. UK is a great place. I should know. But are you ready for this? It’s not the only place. I mean Austin is a wonderful city. I’m going to like it here.”

I really he can't believe he would leave with the Number 1 recruiting class in the nation coming in next year.

I have no source. But yeah I think he goes, takes the recruits, wins big at Texas. Book it. We will have to look at him in rupp wearing burnt orange soon enough.

Although, anytime I am fully confident about a prediction it ends up being dead wrong. Who knows

Yep.

And it's going to be a NASTY divorce.

The good thing is, the national media hates Cal MORE than they hate UK fans and that is saying a WHOLE LOT!!!

But there was a time when Cal would use everyone doubting him as fuel to prove the world wrong. But if the last 3 seasons are any indication of how he is now, that coach is LONG GONE!!!

It wouldn't surprise me if Cal takes a leave of absence anytime now.
That's the only chance this team has right now.
If cal already knows he’s leaving and it’s out there enough for the OP to know then certainly the UK brass know as well. There is no way in hell any coach gets to keep their current status as coach knowing they have a job lined up for the next year. Coen to UK from the rams completely different scenario here for anyone that wants to try and bring that up. If this is known, cal needs gone, not tomorrow, not after breakfast, NOW!!!!

I disagree.

The national media hates UK.

Especially the "woke" media members of ESPN.

You are going to hear UK fans demolished by guys like Wilbon, Van Pelt, Dan Patrick, Vitale, and really all the East Coast media guys.

They love them some John Calipari.
