No truer words have been spoken. Without term limits, we are perpetually screwed. I have never been a Democrat supporter per se although I have voted that way on occasion, but I have become ashamed to identify as a Republican as well.
At this point I feel any Republican or Democrat who has been in Congress more than 12 years (2 terms for the Senate) needs to go.
Agree 100%!!!!! We can’t even pass an infrastructure bill. Multiple times a year, we face the threat of a government shut down. Our power grid, roads, internet, and bridges new major updating. There’s a need to raise taxes and reduce spending. Those are more important than the political posturing we’ve seen.

The corruption of the Federal government is the biggest issue in the country today.
To end the politics of corruption:
1) Constitutional amendment to change the length of time a person can serve in the House or Senate. to 12 years. If there is a "good" politician they can still serve 24 years. American people will support this and it will be bi-partisan.
2) Flat tax to eliminate the corruption in the tax code. Similar to Jack Kemps/Steve Forbes ideas with a personal exemption such that a family of 4 pays no tax under about $36,000 and approximately 22% tax rate or so for all sources of income above that exemption level. This will force the rich to pay at 22% and this should be the same for businesses. Sorry tax accountants, Turbo Tax, and H&R Block.
3) There need to be laws about lobbying on the basis of foreign governments once leaving office.
4) Reform in the main stream media and social media. There need to be reforms/laws and easier ways to legally challenge censorship and media corruption. I do not care if you are a radical Islamist, white supremacist, Marxist BLM, or Antifa, you have the right to free speech and the attempts for government to censor points of view is not American. This is one of the biggest issues in society today - there is no objective media and it is biased today. A social media platform has no right to decide what should be censored. Perhaps there also needs to be a constitutional amendment as well to address this type of censorship.
5) Reform in the college admission process and balanced teaching from both left and right points of view. The education systems in colleges and K-12 needs balance and not one sided liberalism.
There are several more but these are critical.
That really makes no sense to me. They already have power. There’s not much advantage for them at all of keeping things closed.

Yeah, I did read something about how DHEC was measuring things differently than how the CDC has been recommending to do it for a while. Most people are talking about WHO when they bring it up, be cause how SC was counting tests doesn’t make much of a dent in national and international numbers.
Read the actual piece and tell me what you think. They quote the people from WHO who wrote the policy. Also, nobody at the CDC has even commented on the WHO’s policy, which makes this whole discussion moot.

A lack of govt interference led to 500k deaths in the US while Australia already has basically no covid and freaks out if there are any reported cases. The US govt response has been an absolute disaster.

Pretty much everyone knows someone who has died from COVID now, but people remain so cavalier in their lack of respect for human life. What is it that Dickens said--if they are going to die, they better do it quick and decrease the surplus population. That is how covid is treating by those who favor capitalism and greed over humanity and christlike virtue.

Operation Warp Speed wasn't about just vaccine development--it was supposed to be about distribution as well. So much wasteful govt spending on the distribution side. Trump admin threw money around to prototypes for vaccine injections in the billions--all for nothing. Biden took over and the vaccine stock was nothing--embarrassingly low. Trump admin had promised some 300 million doses by Jan 2021--didn't come close to happening.
Warp speed basically awarded contracts to a bunch of con men who came in and made insane pitches to gullible idiots in the trump admin. Throwing money everywhere but at the actual problem. Trump should get credit for giving money to Moderna. The Sanofi billions and the AstraZeneca billions have been total wastes. Trump deserves some credit for this but there was a lot of mismanagement going on. There were distribution plans being put in place but they were squashed when covid was hitting blue states hard, to own the libs. Just dumb.
Pfizer's was developed in Germany through a company called BioNTech with no OWS funds.
The real shame was all the stupidity about hydroxy and wasteful spending esp when monoclonal antibodies are the real deal and if taken within 10 days of contracting covid cut the risk of even being hospitalized significantly and would've saved hundreds of thousands of lives.
If anyone on here gets covid--ask for the transfusion for monoclonal antibodies immediately. DEMAND IT from providers.

Also, I find it ironic we want to blame our government, yet completely turn a blind eye to China. The country that brought the deadly virus to the world. The country that covered it up and restricted travel within its borders, while allowing it's citizens to travel to other countries to spread the disease. It sucks so many Americans are willing to continue to turn a blind eye to the communist party and the genocide they commit not only on their people but now ours. Where is the outrage?

The problem is this thing has been political and screwed up from the beginning and you really have to be skeptical of any of the dang numbers and even moreso, any predictions of Covids course.
Only when you walk to your seat at a restaurant, so it’s really dangerous at 6-8 feet, but everyone is safe when they sit down.

What this means is labs were not using the correct cycle counts to begin with and have update guidelines to make sure they are following directions, cause they were not.
