I never put much stock into wins and losses in Middle School as much as making sure the kids are getting prepared for high school. Lincolnton has never really had a good middle school program but we always develop our talent in high school.

Middle school can be so different from HS. All you need is a few more developed kids than the other schools and that can make the difference. Those same kids can be caught in high school and the wins dont translate...

I think a good 6 or 7 years ago, the Costigan kid for Burns was the running back and he ended up being the center lol

I miss ole Crestman2, he was always bragging about how the middle school and the JV was loaded every year and how Shelby may not beat them for years. He was always saying we were "young".

The last post that I can remember by Crestman2 was when he was so mad about Crest hiring Mark Barnes as the new coach.No 2A coach could lead the powerful chargers.About as wrong as a poster could be.
