That’s so Bullitt County!just curious as to who is from good ole Bullitt County & what area you grew up in!
Middlesboro // Bell Co
I am, lived off of Zoneton Rd & Cedar Creek Rd. Loved it out there, quiet but close enough to stores and restaurants. Plan on moving back soon hopefully. Miss it out there. Kentucky girl, what part are you from?
Lived in Shepherdsville for four years or so and went to Brooks elementary school.
Anyone survive the big twister there?
Mt Washington for me .
I did. It literally chased us into the basement. I watched it pick up the house off the foundation for about 10 seconds and slam it back down. Cracked the foundation in 3 places, we found our bass boat nearly 2 miles away wrapped around a tree. The top of our neighbors RV got sheered off at the headrest level front to back and was literally in a huge tree. The coast guard came out, used a crane to get it down.... once on the ground my neighbor put the key in, started it up and drove it down the street. I have it on VHS somewhere, damndest thing I've ever seen. We had mail that ended up in shelby county. Glasses on the dinner table that got switched around from their original spot without spilling a drop.......yet 15ft away the east wall of the house got completely blown out.Anyone survive the big twister there?
Where did they live?My parents house was demolished. This is the one back in like 96 or something.

There's a ton of other crazy **** that happened during that tornado, that's not half of the things I witnessed. It's a miracle that nobody was killed. The base @ Zoneton road was a half mile wide, measured at an EF5 and had 6 verified funnels at that location. The pressure in your ears and the deafening sound inside a tornado is pure hell that you don't want to experience
Bullet... Gun AmmunitionI'm surprised there hasn't been a group demanding the county name be changed.
I've lived in Hillview the past 14 years. I remember the stupid derailment. Thankfully I wasn't close enough to have any bad effects of it getting to my house. A guy I work with lived in the house right next to where it happened. It was a major problem for weeks and screwed up his house because of the chemicals burning for so long. He basically lived in one of the houses in the picture below behind that smoke.

I lived off of Mt Washington road about a couple miles from where the tornado hit. Didn't know how bad it was until a few days later when I went down that way and you could see where I believe it tore through the trees on one side of Preston Hwy and then hit the houses across the street on the other side. I was down in the basement just watching TV and saw the warnings come on the TV and didn't think much of it. That is at least twice that a tornado missed me by a few miles. Here's a clip I found about it. At 8:35 it looks like Little Flock Baptist Church to get an idea of where this took place.
I live in Lebanon Junction now. My property joins the back side of the Boy Scout camp. No neighbors in sight. Close enough to Shepherdsville for groceries and far enough to not be bothered. Anybody go to Little Ricks for cheap beer and good food? How about the hole in the wall Daddios pizza?
Nah..twisters are more excitingLet's get back to talking basketball.
