What's the excuse going to be?

We traded winning now for building a program later?

CU has better players?

We should've flipped more of the roster, no matter how controversial?

***Maker no mistake, CU had less to work with when they hired their coach than NU did.
It’s not an excuse for Rhule to believe in building a program and not changing his method. Deon did things his way. Let Rhule do his thing. Judging the long term potential of a program based on less than a week of data seems short sighted.

But but but, Coach Prime is all about himself and only cares about exposure and his image!
And if he’s successful, Colorado is going to left holding their **** in the hand when prime jets for a better program in a year or two.

Who will eat crow? CU will be favored, probably by a lot.
as of this morning it was NU -7.5

if you've been anywhere near this board for the past 9 months, it's fairly obvious the near-consensus feelings about Prime's team

While I agree he’ll leave once successful, what does Rhule historically do once he gets a team winning?

True, but like a said I won’t make any judgement on the buffs till after they play TCU.

But I was told TCU will blow them out by a few posters..

Their looking like a stiff challenge next weekend..😩

I hope in 2 years or so Penn State is knocking on Rules door. We would be in a good spot then

Yeah but all anybody will see is that Deion is making immediate progress while we still have our head up our butt. Not many people will be happy waiting until year three to see if Rhule's program building pays off if we look lost while Deion's team looks good right away.

If you were sick of the Deion hype so far, it will be unbearable next week if CU wins this game.
I am and I just won't watch any game he's involved in. He will get a better job if he continues to win in Boulder.

Valid concern. Temple -> Baylor -> NFL all seem like very big promotions at each step. I don’t think that promotion level exists for him now that he’s at NU. I take him at his word that he’s tired of moving. And I think building a program from the ground up like he would need to do at NU would give him more roots/reason to stay than a flash in the pan transfer portal job Deon did. I may be wrong but the only job I worry about Rhule leaving for is Penn state. Yes, this is a large rationalization but I think Rhule is an honest guy and he said he’s done moving his family. Could be bs tho.

Rhule didn’t seem real bothered by Thursday. I wonder how calm he is watching this game. No matter how mediocre Minny really is, he could hang his hat on the fact they were 9-4 last year. But if we get boat raced by a team that was terrible last year and had most of their roster replaced that would be a huge black eye. This isn’t Temple or a gutted Baylor. He should win at least six games with what he inherited and the cupcake schedule -- and he surely knows it. Honeymoons can be short.

Nebraska hasn't even won 6 games or more since 2016. 'Cupcake' schedule or not, Nebraska's program record wise has been the cupcake since the 2016 season ended.

I agree. I didn't like the attitude at press conference but I know he will get on them behind closed doors.

CU looks better than expected but TCU is making some serious unforced errors in this game.

I am well aware CU hasn’t been held in high regard here based on last year and historical hate for CU. But unlike NU that still has most of last year’s losers, it has been well known that CU brought in some dynamic stars on offense. Hopefully we are competitive next week or else we could really tank, in spite of the easy schedule.

I am not getting the press conference hate. What did some of you want, for him to call out specific players? To just scream and holler? That presser is exactly what he has been since he has been here. Calm, composed and matter of fact.

many many many here prefer to keep losers instead of jettisoning them because it's "the right way"

It’s the Nebraska way. If you don’t like the result (aka we lose a game) then the fans will nitpick everything and have a problem with how the coach wipes his *** afterward. Rhule has said from the beginning. Process orientated. Not results. And this fan base will hate it…until it works. This place almost drove away TO to Colorado. And that was pre social media.

We just need to run the ball successfully and burn clock. Keep the ball out of the hands of their offense.

You make a statement and your panicking. Sounds like that other poster that calls it bitching.
It's not freaking out to watch games and react to what you see with your eyes, as opposed to being delusional. CU is significantly more talented than Minny on offense. Our offense looks like a caveman rubbing two sticks together. I think concern is warranted.

CU is definitely better than I thought they’d be, but it’s hard to say how good TCU is this year. They don’t look near the team they were last year.
