Bryce Hopkins

[OmahaCats]

Looked awesome today for Providence . Had 24 points and 10 rebounds. Good for him

[kydmb99_rivals103809]

Cal didn’t like him though so sucks for us I guess

[ukwazoo]

He did say he had to find more minutes for him and now he's getting more minutes lol

[bookerfan66]

That will be Livingston next year when he transfers and explodes.

[CrazyCat74]

So happy for him that he found a place to get his opportunity. Seems like a great kid.

[Wunky]

Add him to the list with Wiltjer, Matthews, and Juzang as guys who were totally misused here.

[quest4#9]

[calismyhero]

If Calipari were a doctor he would’ve sued for malpractice for the Bonehead moves he’s made the last few years with players. Another reason to show him the door

Oscar > all of them

[calismyhero]

Oscar > all of them

Meaning?

[blackcat714]

Wish we had a player like Bryce instead of Toppin

[RoyKent]

Hopkins was out of shape and lazy last year. He didn’t want to put it in the work at UK. Has nothing to do with Cal but people will blame him for everything I guess.

Part of being a leader is knowing how to motivate different people.

Hopkins had obvious basketball skills. He could shoot the 3, he could pass, and he wasn’t afraid to rebound. He had some baby fat but at least he wasn’t a stick figure like Collins and Toppin, afraid of contact.

[seccats04]

Cal preferred Brooks and Toppins athleticism to Hopkins skill. Looks like Cal guessed wrong again.

[Beatle Bum]

Who on UK’s team is better than Hopkins? Only Oscar? Cal lost players to UCLA and Providence that clearly should have had more minutes when at UK.

[JimmyWa11]

Guys like Bryce and Shaedon were too smart to stick around for this sh*t show.

[Dirt Court King]

They all do good when they leave getting out of Cal's system....

[JonathanW_rivals]

He did not want to compete with Livingston. His choice

[Randy Bob]

Just like all the other players who has transferred away from Cal become good players.

[Kevin Bryan]

He's destroying Marquette right now too. 20 and 16 heading into overtime. If only UK had a 4 man that productive...

Ed Cooley>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Cal

[Crawfords Corner]

22 and 18 boards against Marquette now. 8-13 shooting. 0-1 from 3. Also has 2 assists, 3 steals, 1 block and 4 turnovers.

Not sure what to think of him not having any fouls though. Is he doing any defending? Is he just shutting dudes down? I don't know.

[Runnin'Ramel]

Hopkins will be a 1st rd NBA pick.

[Crawfords Corner]

Hopkins is a 4-man that can get his own offense. Man, we could use a guy like that to go with Oscar.

UK, outside of Oscar, has also struggled to rebound. Hopkins would help that too.

The old, what could have been. Ugh.

[cathouse_rivals216755]

He did not get the opportunity to compete with Livingston. Cal's choice.

FIFY

[UK90]

Hopkins is a 4-man that can get his own offense.

Yep, and that’s precisely the kind of 4-man this team needs … as opposed to the offensive dead zone combo of Toppin/Collins.

[Crawfords Corner]

Game has gone to a 2nd OT

[Cowtown Cat]

Great job, Cal. You fvcking numbnuts! Good Lord, it’s so embarrassing having him be the UK coach. I sincerely mean that too.

Just a fantastic all around performance. He is now SO much better than any forward we have on this team. So damn frustrating…

[DaDirtyLeb69]

He is playing good, he will end up being like juzang where he went to a team that fit him better

[MbergCat]

25 points and 20 boards. Couldn't find a way to get him in the line up last season.

[Crawfords Corner]

Providence has taken 43 free throws on 27 Marquette fouls

[Boro_Orange]

He is a stud!! Don't play much D, but he is a load.

[howercat]

20pts. 22 rebounds. Ygtbkm

[Crawfords Corner]

25 and 20 is pretty good.

Not as good as the 80 points, 25 rebounds, and 17 assists I had in my last NBA2K23 game though.

[quest4#9]

[UK90]

He finished with 29 pts on 8-14 shooting and 23 rebounds, leading his team to a win over a ranked Marquette team. That’s gotta be near the top of the list of the best individual performances in all of college basketball this year.

And, oh yeah, he did so playing exclusively at the 4 spot … you know, his natural position where Cal did not want to play him.

[bigblueinsanity_rivals250340]

[fatguy87]

29 points on 14 shots. Monstrous performance

[Jamal Mercer]

Happy for him. Wish he was still at UK.
