The rumor is he was gonna transfer to IU last year until Race Thompson …who plays the same position and is better than him …announced he was returning.

And since Thompson is yet again returning, IU remains a bad fit for him for the same reason. One doesn’t give up a starting spot at UK to go be a backup at IU.
Good point brooks had a long leash at Kentucky, he is talented just inconsistent. Where ever he goes I hope they are used to him have 1 really good game they 2-3 okay to bad games than one really bad games that’s brooks cycle

I thought Brooks was a 3? Thompson plays the 4. All the Brooks stuff was always a rumor.

No way Brooks could play for Woodson. He shouldn't have played here either but for some reason Cal kept playing a guy that couldn't guard his own shadow even though he claims to be defense first. But no one else on this year's team could guard either. Zone team playing man to man defense.

Wheeler did a decent job most of the time. Tyty did ok before he got hurt. Oscar did fine too.

We’re insanely bad defensively until injuries. But it was the putrid offense that did us in.

Yeah. That was nice. Doesn’t mean much now. But nice. I trade a double digit loss at Rupp to a blue blood for a title too. Seriously. Call up UNC tomorrow. I’ll trade that everyday and twice on Sundays for a title.
Maybe I am misunderstanding your post but yep, who wouldn't trade a regular season ***-kicking for a Natty? Just adding color as to why Goodman would be sucking off Brooks.

Well, you haven’t been paying much attention. Brooks was our starting 4 this entire season.

Cal did try him at the 3 his freshman year, but it did not go well. Nearly all his minutes at UK since then have come at the 4 spot.

Gotcha. Yeah I’m not up on him. I always thought he (should) be a 3.

No you understood me. Don’t get me wrong. That was an awesome game for him and us.
And I like Brooks. I wouldn’t mind having him back.

But some toss that game performance out like it’s the be all end all.

I wish somebody lit us up at Rupp for that much so Cal could have number 2.

I would say Norte Dame is the landing spot, close to family. Good luck Sir.

Brooks returning to UK is detrimental to the team, overall. Cal will undoubtably play him way more than he deserves. No matter how many or how crucial the mistakes are that he makes. That’s the issue. No thanks.

Maybe Cal was telling him no more 18' jumpers, and that's why he gave away his number. Of course that presupposes Cal did tell him that and Brooks just ignored it, and Cal let him just keep jacking them up. I think Cal just let him jack them up so he could prove he had 3 pt range, for the NBA.

I am ambivalent about Brooks saying or going. Good luck I guess.

OK, so Brooks pulls out of the NBA draft...why wouldn't he come back to UK? It's not like he wouldn't get the playing time under Calipari...and the UK exposure. Why go somewhere else?

Please understand, my comments aren't based on whether Brooks coming back to UK is a good thing or not...but why would he go somewhere else when he gets plenty of playing time at UK?

Heeee's Baccck!!! Great news, if true.

(Disclaimer: I don't know that this will happen, but it makes perfect sense and I believe it will come to pass.)

Keion has been a highly underrated player at Kentucky. He's an intelligent kid and one of great character. The Cats will be lucky to have him if he returns.
lol good one Md….

Notre Dame is in his Top 3. That would be a good landing spot for him. Closer to home and a good college system to maximize what he can do on the court via set plays and ball screens.

Toppin gets to be the primary guy at the 4.

Win-win for both Keion and Kentucky.

I really like Brooks, but given that he has yet to develop the ball handling skills required to create his own offense, it just wasn't a great fit.
