I see a guy who didn't get the ball to the team's best player, tried to be a hero and made this a game when it didn't have to be. When you are given the moniker of a team being "Your team" and you just had 1 on 1 meetings with Coaching Staff and announcers even mention "Malik Monk needs to touch the ball more--and demand it"--well--you want to be a PG at any level--get the damn lottery pick the ball! Notice that UK hadn't made a FG in last 4 minutes--and noticed who wasn't touching the ball? He gets it, ties it, takes over OT and you win. What a novel concept, the NBA top 5 pick, future All Star getting the ball instead of a marginal, turnover prone, bowling ball who is a PF in a guard's body.
Playing hard isn't playing well. Bitching in the offseason about your role with the incoming guards and then getting an opportunity and having a combined 14 Turnovers in 2 games Fox hasn't played isn't the best way to prove a point. This is a UGA team that got worked by Alabama by 20 in Athens. I don't care who was/wasn't there--the PG sets the tone and the tone was a 12 pt margin to dig out of, no rhythm and a lot of guys having to figure out how to play with you--again.
Happy for you all that you won--but I don't want to see Briscoe near the '18 team. He can take his style of play back to NYC and go to SJU before I'd want him near the incoming class.
