Proud of your success Brandon, wish you all the best. Don't forget to throw us a bone and give us a "More Cowbell" every now and then.

Not sure what kind of business you are in but people talk like that all the time in the areas I’m around and I work with people all over the country. They are just words. People are taught some words are worse than others. Why? Because it’s the meaning behind the word. If you change the word to something else it’s still should be just bad. Just no sound logic behind any of it. Sorry if you are offended by it but it might surprise some of you but “curse” words are quite common vernacular to several people around the country.

Love the show Brandon. Keep up the good work. Don’t rope all state fans in with a few that don’t like it. If they don’t like it too bad.

Brandon Walker is letting the majority of the country know that there is a difference between Mississippi State and Ole Miss and that alone is enough reason to enjoy his podcast

Brandon, I just wanted to let you know that every business in America is probably going to be contacting you asking you how you were able to reach so many people. You can just tell them they need to start training their employees to say "Can I take your 17ing order?" or "Have a 17ing nice day". The day this starts happening I might agree that you are broadening your reach. The majority don't care for it, especially when it sounds like some kid who was just taught to cuss by their older brother. There is a time and place for everything. Just as Moorehead said "the portal giveth and the portal taketh away". You WILL lose some followers taking the Howard Stern approach. But again, please be careful and don't get trampled by all of the business owners trying to contact you with your secrets to success.

Thanks for the advice

Most businesses in America would kill to have the reach that Barstool Sports has.

On April 10, I had 9,800 twitter followers. Today I have 55K. I was doing a podcast that averaged 3,000 listens a day. I currently get 25x that. A year ago, I just wanted to host a radio show in Mississippi. This month, my national radio show on SiriusXM will debut.

If you don’t like my language, fine. But to tell me I’ll never expand my reach if I talk like this, well that’s just dead wrong. There are millions and millions of barstool fans who enjoy raw, unfiltered sports takes.

Keep doing what you are doing my brother! I won’t argue with success. Best podcast in the game!

Hopefully you will hurry up and reach the big time to the point you don't mention Miss State as Reese doesn't mention Alabama.

Hey I've got an idea how you can break the 56K twitter followers and you don't have a hair on your balls if you don't do this. Tell Kayce she has a fine A$$ and you want to 17 her on the next show. It's all about ratings, right?

211? Are you really double-fisting Steel Reserve? Actually, that might explain your ignorant & dogged determination on the matter.

ETA: You do realize he has no official afilliation with University, right?

He's not a spokesman. He's a genius in that he was able to turn his love for Mississippi State into a career. Every single poster on this board would kill for that. It's why we care enough to read & post; it's why YOU cared enough to mount your high horse & die on the hill of "appropriate" language...twice.

In short, go 17 yourself!

SiriusXM? Congrats dude. I'm starting to understand something here that was not clear to me from the beginning. I thought the podcasts were recordings of a national broadcast. You are dealing with a niche, subscription fan base that loves that stuff. I was mistaken in my understanding of your show. The fact that it is not a traditional public broadcast makes a big difference.

Sorry for the misunderstanding and Good luck.

Career wise I've always worked in an office setting, but heck, even when I was in a fraternity at MSU the language wasn't like it is being used in most of these shows today, as in thrown in every other sentence and for no good reason like being pissed or something. And I'm not sure how you think a slang word for human intercourse is just like any other word. But anyway, didn't really mean to get off into that, the point I was making was that I'm not sure why some people in the thread are making an issue of the language on Brandon's podcast but are seemingly fine with it in their favorite shows. I don't personally care to continually hear foul language but it won't stop me from listening to Brandon's podcast because he is a Bulldog and he is entertaining.

Brandon, I think the show is excellent. You two had chemistry immediately. That's a rare thing. Someone had a ton of foresight putting you two together. Everyone is so knowledgeable and no one is stretching for time or trying to fill space by saying the same thing over and over, just stated differently (that happens a lot on sports podcasts). The pace is fast, and it is very entertaining. There's cussing, what's the big deal? It's not for kids. So what? Neither are Quentin Tarantino movies. I love Quentin Tarantino movies. Though I will admit that sometimes the cuss words seem to be used just to drop a cuss word. A perfectly timed, single f-bomb is more effective than a series of rapid-fire f-bombs.

The cream always rises to the top. I am happy for your success. You deserve it because you have always stayed true to who you are. You are real, and people appreciate real. I hope this is only the next rung, in may rings to come, on your rise to the top.Keep up the good work keeping us entertained.

It's an excellent show, starring one of our own. We now have an openly admitted-- loyal and raving-- MSU fan on a national platform. This is GREAT for MSU sports. In his role, he doesn't have to pretend to be non-biased as many in regular media do. He is carrying the Hail State message to hundreds of thousands all across the country (check the numbers on his podcast).

There's no more cussing on that show than you'd hear sitting in your average sports bar. Both hosts and the producer are very informed about college football. They don't fill space by reacting the same point by re-stating it several ways as many sports podcasts do. It is a breath of fresh air, and I wish Brandon all of the best. He deserves this. He persevered through tough times and remained himself. https://www.barstoolsports.com/bost...sms_share_button_web&utm_content=share_button

No, not gonna bump the last thread because it was about a specific tweet that morphed into his podcast review.

Listening to the latest Episode. “Week One Preview” ...
i think it’s really good and entertaining. I like all 3 of the hosts. Yes, if you can’t stand profanity don’t listen. I didn’t think it was excessive. ....haha and as I type this, literally. Brandon is talking about the Six pack turning on him...hah , quoting y’all.

Haha.

but it’s really good.

So Brandon Walker “represents Bulldogs well” does he? Brandon Walker is a no talent loudmouth who has nothing intelligent to say, so he shouts profanity and laughs at this own jokes. His weak show appeals to a bunch of immature punks who think it’s cool to say the F word on national media. I wish he would never mention MSU because he is an embarrassment to the university and his athletic programs.

Just a PSA to Chem1970. While you’re perusing Barstool podcasts, you might want to avoid “Call Her Daddy”, that one might melt your brain.
