Nashville is cold? I guess it's relative.
I've driven through Nashville during Christmas time on the way to Ohio and it can get cold there. I suppose the temps could be relative. I left Nebraska 40 years ago and one gets acclimated to Texas weather after awhile. I still don't like the hot humid summers here but at least I can build houses all the way through the winters here.

I’m wearing shorts and a tee shirt in Dallas right now

I like the Duke's Mayo bowl in Charlotte. No cold climate for me like NYC or Nashville.

Ummm..... Nashville and Charlotte will be about the same temp/weather.

Have you ever looked at a map or travelled?

65 in Nashville right now. 63 in Charlotte.

It's great that NU finally makes a bowl, but really, is 6-7 that much better than 5-7?
Wisconsin and cu ain't that good...thats why we need serious portal time/thought/investment...not a sec team in a bowl....(so offseason is just kool aid (holgerson offense full install), positivity and getting better)....then play sec in playoffs next year

but mainly beat iowa

Oklahoma would be a sweet game. I’d prefer a hot or decent team as a good measuring stick for where our new team is at. Not an easy win.

It is better in one huge way. We are now off list of teams with longest bowl drought. The next time one of those articles come out, we will not be a part of it.
Thank God...I was getting so freaking sick of that narrative and the commentators blabbing about it constantly on air.

Yay!

Nashville was a blast. I'd definitely go back again.

Simply pathetic that was our last bowl game when you only need 6 wins nowadays to get to one.🤮
Nashville is fun, my wife's father is from a small town about 45 miles west of there. As far as I am concerned Phoenix in December would be much more fun.

Bowl in Phoenix would likely be best, maybe a bowl in Florida somewhere

Nashville would be cool if it’s above 60 when the game is played

Hypothetical.
Say NU loses to Iowa and then goes to a bowl and loses again and finishes 6-7.

Is that progress?
I'll go on record as saying that I want to go wherever the easiest opponent will be. I don't want any part of playing Oklahoma or any other "name" matchup. What this program needs is progress. Three weeks of productive practices. A chance to see some new faces on the field. And a bowl victory.

I agree on the face but where we benefit is the additional practices and development to spring board the young kids into the next year. I also heard that early enrollee freshman will be able to participate in bowl practices. So hopefully the difference of those practices will show up a bit next year.

I think we will beat Iowa and regardless finish with a winning record and that is huge for the psyche of everyone, fans, coaches, players, boosters.

I think, as always us Husker fans are gonna be in the up and down wringer through the first of the year. We have the game Friday, on the road, against a team we need to beat. Then there's the early signing period, as well as the portal opening to see who chooses to leave and what's available to sign for next year. Operating a program with much lower numbers than NU has been used to, will still be a transition.

Then there is the unknown with Dana and perhaps a couple of assistants. As always, we will be mired in unknowns until the thing shakes out. Dana returning would be a real shot in the arm and could really affect some kids that like what they see offensively now.

And a letdown if he chooses not to return.

Dana coming back is literally all I want for Christmas.

If I'm Holgerson, I have to like the fact that Barney and Raiola are freshman and have yet to maximize their talent, an offensive line that returns three starters plus another one (or two?) from injury (Corc has a 6th/Is Teddy a medical?), plus two backs that showed progress from DH Week 1. I'm also looking at Carter Nelson, Lloyd and a couple of RS freshman WRs. Things are set up here for what he wants to do. Let's see what he dials up against the Iowegians.

I am holding out hope for the Music City Bowl and an SEC matchup

an opportunity to really see where we stand talent-wise

any matchup will be fun. lots of storylines if we match up with 'Cuse, obviously.

when was the last time we played Pitt? two storied programs.

Phoenix against a Big 12 team would have plenty of Red in the stands as well. Let's go bowling!!
