Thanks for the info. I made a comment about someone's height only once. A coworker who was obnoxious was 6'5". I told him I wished he was 5'6" because I hated looking up at someone who I had no respect for when I talked to him. But that was more of an attitude slam than a height slam.Funny you should mention that... At the end of the Rival Sons concert last night, a guy about 5'5" asked me to give him some sort of a boost, so he could see. I hear it all the time. Don't mind it, but at times, i would rather not have to take the time to respond. Sometimes i am in a hurry, and a "wow, you're tall" comment is a little annoying. Occasionally, I humor myself by responding, with an enthusiastic, "Thanks!". They look discombobulated at that response. Now that basketball days are long gone...6'3" seems like a great height. These days, 6'7" means expensive clothing, limited vehicle options, and a perpetual lower back ache.![]()
Ha! Understood. Nothing worse than tall, with big attitude. Way to show restraint other times. There are only so many smiles and nods a guy can muster for a total stranger hollering across McDonald's, "Watch your head!" as you leave. That is impossible to do, by the way- watch your own head...This happened in York, a couple weeks ago. The only thing more amazing than the fella's tall remark was how hard some lady with a smoker's cackle thought that quip was! Actually, my wife and I had a pretty good laugh at that one. Cue, Dueling Banjos...Thanks for the info. I made a comment about someone's height only once. A coworker who was obnoxious was 6'5". I feel your pain man!... I’m 6’10” and anytimeFunny you should mention that... As I mentioned, I'm 5'11" and with a bad knee (it doesn't like 45 degrees or less for more than a few minutes) and bulkhead seats are torture. I can only imagine your discomfort. I was at O'Hare in Chicago the morning after we beat Notre Dame and made Notre Dame Stadium a sea of red. Our VB team also played ND the day before, My LA gate was next to the Lincoln gate and there were all the VB players in their red NU warmups. We had a very tall team that year, I think Pavin was on that team and the shortest gal was the libero and she was around 5'8". I will admit I walked over and stood about 15 feet from their group for a minute or two (minding my own business) just to experience being near 10 women who were all taller than I, some of them by a half foot. I didn't take any pictures though or stare.I feel your pain man!... I’m 6’10” and anytime
I go to the mall or someplace public, random people try to take pictures standing by me when they think I’m not looking. Or they make a comment the second they walk by me..... I’m tall people, not blind or deaf! And sitting in a non exit row or bulk head seat on a plane is IMPOSSIBLE!
I'm 6'6", get it straight lil guy. Thanks for the info. I made a comment about someone's height only once. A coworker who was obnoxious was 6'5". 6'10- way to bring it, brother! My older brother is 6'8 1/2- 6'9"... we would be a nice visual trio. You guys would probably mercilessly pick on Shorty, though.I feel your pain man!... I’m 6’10” and anytime

Funny you should post that. I was leaving a restaurant in Laurel, Maryland and Bol walked in with another guy. They held the door for me as I walked out. I swear at 5'11" my eyes were about belly-button level with him. It seemed to me 2/3rds of that man was legs. The "height-jacking" of this thread makes me think of this classic...

Hoiberg I believe is 6-5. Cross is a big kid. 6-7, 6-8, whatever. He's not a twig. Considering his age and the potential for growth I think he's big enough to play in the paint in the B1G. Rarely do you get a big kid out of high school who is physically mature.Based on this picture, there's no way Kevin Cross is 6'8. He's barely taller than Hoiberg, who is 6'4. He's more like 6'6, which isn't ideal for a power forward in the Big Ten.
NU is just a few years removed from spending a scholarship on Nick Fuller. Whether he's 6'6" or 6'8", I call this progress.Based on this picture, there's no way Kevin Cross is 6'8. He's barely taller than Hoiberg, who is 6'4. He's more like 6'6, which isn't ideal for a power forward in the Big Ten.
Unless I am mistaken, and he was not a recruit, the young man I saw exit the lobby with coaches was Caucasian and definitely in the six foot eight or six foot nine range.Based on this picture, there's no way Kevin Cross is 6'8. Hmmm...must have been. Different hair, and didn't seem 7'0" but was maybe 10 feet away and ducking for the door. Would have pegged him for 6-10 max, but then again, standing straight and stretching for the tape (height measurement)...you never know. You probably saw Jayce Johnson, grad transfer, who was listed at 7'0 at Utah.

He's more of a point forward.Based on this picture, there's no way Kevin Cross is 6'8. He's barely taller than Hoiberg, who is 6'4. He's more like 6'6, which isn't ideal for a power forward in the Big Ten.
Agreed there, having a legit 7 footer would be nice for a change lol.
So it looks like there is some completion here, which we all figured would happen. Hope we can still land this kid
