That was quick. Got him to sign before he even finished his visit.
He’s ranked as the number 2 juco player in the country. He’s a PG who averaged 19 PPG and 7 APG. It’s big for a couple reasons. 1. He’s a very good player. 2. He’s a PG and we didn’t have a PG on the roster for next year.Alright someone is gonna have to explain this to me....Im the kid in the room right now not gettin the joke.
Can someone share some details about our new player? TIA

Depends....I will admit that the first two commits didn't send my blood pressure soaring. Don't get me wrong, they are VERY nice additions who should fit in very well with the Hoiberg offensive style. But as a long suffering NU basketball fan (got my first season tickets in 1969) I think I may have actually wet my pants a little bit when I read about Cam. Of course, that may just be part and parcel of getting old.
Committed to St. John's originally and has a great relationship with Coach Abdelmassih. He’s ranked as the number 2 juco player in the country. He’s a PG who averaged 19 PPG and 7 APG. I always wanted to ask someone as tall as you about being that tall, but didn't want to be rude. That is the great thing about message boards, maybe my question will be rude, but I'm hidden behind a keyboard.Cool! Working weekend for coach - saw him with a different recruit in our hotel lobby. Much taller guy. 6'8" ish?? Noticeably taller than me, and i am 6'7'. Exciting times for bball... Doc was in our lobbly, too, but we missed him. There is a guy i would like to have a cocktail with!
We need Thor to move on. I imagine if not this year he will next year. But that would allow us to grab Jayce Johnson, Ouedraogo and 2 sit out guys. I think Roby will head to the G League this year so we still have one more spot for an immediate impact and then we can grab 2 sit outs. I have a feeling we could make some noise next year too.https://nebraska.rivals.com/news/updated-look-at-nebrasketball-s-scholarship-distribution-chart
Above is the basketball scholarship distribution chart.
As of now it looks like Mack, Green, Harris, Burke, Cheatham, Kavas, (and Roby). And hopefully Jayce Johnson and Yvan Ouedraogo. That’s a respectable team.
I thought year one was going to be a throw away, but this looks like it could be fun.
Did anybody actually ever say or post that or are you just trolling? I find it hard to believe that anybody would have made that comment.I would like an update on how dismissing Tim Miles is going to cause season ticket holders not to renew, and turn PBA into a morgue. TIA.

Don't be too quick to dismiss guys. Harris is a very good player and we really don't know what Davis will be. Pre-injury he looked like a stud. Hoiberg will figure it out and we don't need to give advice on who should stay and who should go.Karrington Davis needs to move on too. He's been injured for most of the last 3 years and unlikely to ever be much of a factor at this level. Hoiberg can and will bring in much better talent than him.
Amir Harris might be the only player who played this year that will play next year, and he'll probably play sparingly as a defensive role player. If we land Jayce Johnson and Kevin Cross, I think Heiman should redshirt and just focus on putting on as much weight as he can and working on his shooting form.

Funny you should mention that... At the end of the Rival Sons concert last night, a guy about 5'5" asked me to give him some sort of a boost, so he could see. I hear it all the time. Don't mind it, but at times, i would rather not have to take the time to respond. Sometimes i am in a hurry, and a "wow, you're tall" comment is a little annoying. Occasionally, I humor myself by responding, with an enthusiastic, "Thanks!". They look discombobulated at that response. Now that basketball days are long gone...6'3" seems like a great height. These days, 6'7" means expensive clothing, limited vehicle options, and a perpetual lower back ache.I always wanted to ask someone as tall as you about being that tall, but didn't want to be rude. That is the great thing about message boards, maybe my question will be rude, but I'm hidden behind a keyboard.
I'm 5' 11" and always wished I was a couple inches taller, like maybe 6'1" or 2. I thought that I would have been a better athlete in HS and would be more "noticeable" in day to day life. At 6'7" I assume you are quite noticeable and people probably make comments about your height. You may also find it hard to fit in some small cars and perhaps finding clothing that fits may be a challenge. So the question is, do you ever wish you were a few inches shorter, or is being 6'7" somewhat unique and really cool?
BTW, I'm fine at 5'11" and very comfortable with who I am so not having the extra couple inches was never a huge tragedy in my life.
I don’t have the ability to do that. The HOL staff has to do that.Kaz, not to bust your balls here but can we pretty please get the basketball commitment lists updated. We are ALL bad with this. If it was football, we’d all be on top of things. But since it’s basketball we all seem to forget or put it off. We have to remember, we are all turning over a leave in Husker sports. Basketball matter to us Huskers now too. Thanks good buddy![]()

Someone absolutely posted that. Wasn’t you, but there were a couple of diehard holdouts who swore that letting Miles go would set the program back for years.Did anybody actually ever say or post that or are you just trolling? I find it hard to believe that anybody would have made that comment.
