That lineup would be out of character for a Krzyzewski team. He almost never plays 2 guys at the same time who aren't 3 point threats (though he did early this season out of necessity), especially when there's a third guy out there who's only a "sort-of" threat (the sort-of threat is usually the 4 in K's system). And you are really squeezed for time on the wing with that lineup.
If Allen returns, I suspect that, though we will see the lineup you mention at times, Amile Jefferson will find his PT plummeting.
Yeah, generally K loves three point threats... he said a bunch of years ago that he felt the math simply favored a team that shot a lot of threes.
But in a group like next year... K also loves his vocal, senior defenders. And Jefferson is the definition of that. K just talked this year about how having a vocal BIG is so much more important that a vocal guard, in that the big has a bigger view of the game and can direct the guys in front of him. A fifth year senior who won't demand shots and is also a VERY vocal and dedicated defender, and who is able to give Giles a bit more freedom, I think will take priority over anything else.
Given that Duke will have a three point threat at the 1-3 spots, with the 4 able to pop a few (I am sure Giles will look to add that to his NBA skill set)... well, I don't see K sitting Jefferson.
