Is the use of the word 'pansy' permissible in the PC culture of today? You may get permanently banned.

I think the obvious answer is that Jeter has probably been out-working him in practice. Jeter got rewarded last night by getting to start and a chance to shine. Probably using it as a motivational tool for Bolden.

Watching this team, K is really going to have a hard time giving guys enough playing time to keep them happy. They really are deep. Jeter doesn't deserve to only see mop up minutes. He's a sophomore and it's obvious he's put in a lot of work.

Right now it almost a blessing Giles is going to have to set out for a while. I think you can have too many alpha dogs on a team. With Giles, going to be too many guys on that team that need touches and expect to score a lot of points.

The Golden State situation may be a good analogy for Duke this year. So far, adding one more superstar to that team has brought the team down.

Actually, I heard it's a pretty serious injury. Somebody pulled one of the cushions away during flopping practice. Another player ran within a foot of Bolden at high speed and he slipped on rat face snot mid flop. Ended up hitting his head on bronzed Laettner kicks.

Imagine how bad the injury would have been, had contact actually taken place.

Bolden is just "resting" after a hard week of practice.

Sorta has that, "Crush your enemies. See them resting after a hard week of practice..." feel to it, huh?

I appreciate the reference (and your knowledge of fine cinema) but Duke is more "The Notebook" than Conan.

I just heard that Bolden took Jeter's Iphone and deleted Abba's greatest hits .. You never mess with Abba at the school known for dancing queens.

Hilarious. Duke's Madness, when compared to Kentucky's, looks like God Father 3 compared to the first two installments. They don't have De Niro. They don't have Duvall. They have a crappy attempt at facsimile starring Sofia Coppola, a horrific plotline, and an Al Pacino that wishes to God he didn't accept the film contract.

Nice try but your interpretation is confused. My allusion doesn't remotely equate Duke with Conan (neither the movie nor the character): it equates tired Bolden with fleeing enemies. Your interpretation doesn't even vaguely work unless you're trying to suggest Bolden is Duke's enemy, and therefore Duke ought to be perceived as the speaker feigning a gravity it hasn't earned. That just doesn't correlate with anyone's perception of reality on any level. It's cool that you want to say Duke as an institution and an icon has more to do with The Notebook, in terms of its aura of manliness, than with Conan. I agree with that idea. But why would you need to try to claim it's in any way at odds with what I wrote?

Why does everyone want to argue today? I wasn't being snarky or disagreeable, in fact paid you a compliment. I clearly didn't assign as much emotion to what I thought was an analogy from a movie as you did. So sorry. Carry on.

"Conan, what is the best thing in life?"

"To crush your enemies, see them driven before you and to hear the lamentation of their women."

Yeah, I guess we interpreted it differently

TMI - and does it fit under your bed, in your closet... or do you have to haul it up and down from the attic?

More importantly.. is it soft?
Seems to be too little information. Did he go all Gilligan's Isle sort with stolen items?, or poor imitation replicas with no personal effects. Your questions seek more knowledge yet your response doesn't fit.

It is near impossible for duke to be allowed to lose ten games. If that was a possibility it is also a posibility Coach Krashitski will have a season ending back issue...
What about the K flop, where he drops but doesn't roll?

flu? virus? something like that?
it would make much more sense than just being "tired"
He's been walking all day, can't find no job. K said that don't confront me, I saw you today standing on the corner upside a post. Bolden said for 5 years he's been lovey dovey, but he ain't got nothing nice to say to him today. K said you ain't got no effort for me by Friday, well, that's ok. Wojo will teach you to act like a pretzel.

I can't see Duke replicating this years class. They already won't have two top5 recruits again.. All their eggs are on the Carter/Knox/Bamba wagon, and there's no way they get all three. Not to mention a ton of 1ADs and some upperclassmen leaving.. would not be shocked if K is trying to ensure some of these guys come back. Nothing would surprise me from Duke/K at this point. They've scrapped the bottom of the barrel.
