This list is definitely more accurate than the one in the tweet.
Penn St should be Legacy Blue Blood, as should Auburn and Clemson.
Oregon should be the only team in Fringe Blue Blood category - not enough history to be legacy, but needs some natty to be considered.
That's 16 teams, which is already pushing the limit IMO. No other teams can be considered remotely in blue blood category. The Elite Program category is just silly.

Go back and look at Iowa's record after Fry got here and pretty much all of Kirks tenure after the first two years and count how many crap years for Iowa, and how may for Wisconsin. Oh and Braska boy, you could do the same for the cornshuckers the last decade as well.....
Go and look at Wisconsin from Alvarez through now. More Rose Bowl appearances, more Rose Bowl wins. They've pushed their ceiling higher than we have.

Army had some of the best football teams in the country in the first half of the 20th Century. That's fifty years, and they were not taking steroids. And the players had to be very intelligent just to get in to West Point, and took classes modern players would avoid like the plague.
My point? The Black Knights of the Hudson are absolutely a blue blood, if you go back far enough, like the UN fans do.

Because at no point was the Big 8/12 ever better than the Big Ten. Any conference with Iowa State in it, by default, cannot be better than the Big Ten.
Your program knew this. That's why you gave up on all your natural rivals and jumped ship to take the Big Ten's money, knowing that since you were inevitably going to be lapped by a team from the state of Iowa, it might as well have been Iowa, and not Iowa State.
And for that, I can respect your decision.........

Nebraska hasn't been relevant since the 1900's. The fan everybody is arguing with is old and most likely dealing with dementia. Here is a list of what has been happening the last quarter century.
These opinions do not change the fact that nebraska is a top 8 program and even with sucking so bad since 2015 is still more relevant and valuable than iowa. Congrats on being 23 in wins since 2000. Wisconsin has sucked lately and their still in front of iowa, must sting.

Actually, the ncaa does not officially recognize a national champion in the FBS. So-called “National championships” began with the BCS and now determined by the CFP. Nebraska has no championships under these systems. Prior to the BCS and CFP, “national championships” were determined by opinion polls…not on the field.
