SO was Iowa.Not. Wisconsin had a good run but it was short lived historically and they were crap for a lot of years.
This list is definitely more accurate than the one in the tweet. This would be my list:
Tier 1 - True Blue Blood - Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame, Georgia
Tier 2 - Fringe Blue Blood - Penn State, Oregon
Tier 3 - Legacy Blue Blood - Texas, Oklahoma, Florida, Florida State, Miami, Southern Cal, Tennessee, LSU
Tier 4 - Elite Program - Auburn, Iowa, Texas A&M, Wisconsin
I would switch out the order of Tier 2 and Tier 3. To me, Fringe Blue Blood means they're currently a great program right on the cusp of being a blue blood whereas the Legacy Blue Bloods are programs that were once blue blood, but have slipped in the current environment (last 15 years or so). So to me it's more important where you're at currently than where you used to be at.
This is projection at its finest.iowa fans any time any discussion about all time great college football teams or bluebloods come up and iowa football is not included:

Go back and look at Iowa's record after Fry got here and pretty much all of Kirks tenure after the first two years and count how many crap years for Iowa, and how may for Wisconsin. Oh and Braska boy, you could do the same for the cornshuckers the last decade as well.....SO was Iowa.
Go and look at Wisconsin from Alvarez through now. More Rose Bowl appearances, more Rose Bowl wins. They've pushed their ceiling higher than we have.Go back and look at Iowa's record after Fry got here and pretty much all of Kirks tenure after the first two years and count how many crap years for Iowa, and how may for Wisconsin. Oh yeah, well f*** Wisconsin, how about that?Go and look at Wisconsin from Alvarez through now. More Rose Bowl appearances, more Rose Bowl wins. They've pushed their ceiling higher than we have.
Yes, that's better.Oh yeah, well f*** Wisconsin, how about that?
Army had some of the best football teams in the country in the first half of the 20th Century. That's fifty years, and they were not taking steroids. And the players had to be very intelligent just to get in to West Point, and took classes modern players would avoid like the plague.Harvard won a lot of titles back in the day.
Nebraska is a top 8 team, deal with it.Army had some of the best football teams in the country in the first half of the 20th Century. That's fifty years, and they were not taking steroids. My point? The Black Knights of the Hudson are absolutely a blue blood, if you go back far enough, like the UN fans do.
In the Big 12 they were.Nebraska is a top 8 team, deal with it.
As of today, Nebraska Football is a top 8 team. The big8/12 was better than the bigten until Nebraska, Oklahoma and Texas left. Deal with it.In the Big 12 they were.
As of today, Nebraska is a top 18 team in the Big Ten, and your fanbase is grateful for that, and allow me to explain why.As of today, Nebraska Football is a top 8 team. The big8/12 was better than the bigten until Nebraska, Oklahoma and Texas left. Deal with it.
Top 8 in volleyball....maybeNebraska is a top 8 team, deal with it.

Because at no point was the Big 8/12 ever better than the Big Ten. Any conference with Iowa State in it, by default, cannot be better than the Big Ten.
Your program knew this. That's why you gave up on all your natural rivals and jumped ship to take the Big Ten's money, knowing that since you were inevitably going to be lapped by a team from the state of Iowa, it might as well have been Iowa, and not Iowa State.
And for that, I can respect your decision.........
Deal with it.
Reported!Iowa is not anywhere close to being a fringe blue blood.
You sound like a goofer fan!The term blueblood, by definition, is only about the entire body of work of a football program. iowa is currently enjoying its’ most successful 10 year run while nebraska is suffering it’s worst. The iowa tool that made that list is definitely a poster on this board and the poster boy for “little bro hawkeye fan”. Congrats on the 60th straight offseason natty though.
Who is Monica Lewinsky? Answer, little Debbie want of be!The last thing current with little debbie would be listening to the Spice Girls and Backstreet Boys CDs. And when asked to "Google it" the reply would be "what's that".
Goofers have no where near enough total wins (especially playing in the big2 little 8 for so many years) or Heisman winners. Fail!!!You sound like a goofer fan!
I know.I'm afraid to reveal how many new email accounts I've created to make a new user account to post on Iowa message boards.

These opinions do not change the fact that nebraska is a top 8 program and even with sucking so bad since 2015 is still more relevant and valuable than iowa. Congrats on being 23 in wins since 2000. Wisconsin has sucked lately and their still in front of iowa, must sting.Nebraska hasn't been relevant since the 1900's. The fan everybody is arguing with is old and most likely dealing with dementia. Here is a list of what has been happening the last quarter century.

Actually, the ncaa does not officially recognize a national champion in the FBS. So-called “National championships” began with the BCS and now determined by the CFP. Nebraska has no championships under these systems. Prior to the BCS and CFP, “national championships” were determined by opinion polls…not on the field.Nobody has indisputable championships except Nebraska. Lolololloollolollllll!
