Does anyone remember when we made fun of Big 10 football?
The Power Rankings all have NU 12th or 13th.
This is what Nebraska fans get after all the money and support?
smh

We still make fun of it...the conference loves being average.

When NW has won the West twice in the last what, 5 years, you know it is averageness at its finest.

Not every team gets to celebrate 7 win seasons.
Some have to look at the bright side of their 3 win season.
Have you ever considered worrying more about what is going on with the pathetic, racist Iowa football program and less about what is going on with our pathetic program.?? No bigten west team has ever won a conference championship game as the divisions are currently configured. Until that changes, the division and teams in it will not be taken seriously.

I do admire how underdog Northwestern takes advantage of their opportunities. I usually give them some credit.

But the Covid year was a total joke. I don't put any stock into it.

If the Big Ten is so terrible...then there aren't any good conferences. Or divisions.

Good thing Georgia at least scheduled Oregon this year. Unlike last year, when they played the Little Sisters of the Poor. Because the only ranked conference team on their schedule is #20 Kentucky.

I feel like Oregon plays a lot of non con big games...the SEC...not so much though.

last year Georgia opened their season against #3 Clemson in prime time Week 0

here are the non-con headliners for both leagues this year:

SEC:
Florida hosts #7 Utah
T A&M hosts Miami
Georgia vs #17 Oregon in Atlanta
Alabama @ Texas
Arkansas hosts Cincy and plays @ BYU
LSU hosts Florida St
Tennessee @ Pitt
So Carolina vs Clemson

B1G:
Ohio St hosts #5 Notre Dame
Nebraska hosts #9 Oklahoma

Wisconsin host Washington St?
iowa vs iowa st?

There is also 1 cross-over game - Auburn vs PennSt

it is a myth propagated by loser B1G fans that the SEC plays nobody in the non-con

B1G programs (except Nebraska, OhioSt and PSU) rarely schedule marquee games because they are cowards and know they'll get boat raced

I could have swore the team I was thinking about was Georgia. I remember seeing such a weak schedule. But you're right, it says they played Clemson.

Anyway...this year...the only other ranked team in Georgia's division is #20 Kentucky. So Georgia can lose to Oregon and still cruise into the Playoff.

Nebraska is 15 & 30 under Frost. Of the 30 losses we were probably favored in half Of them. How many D1 or P5 coaches could not have won at least 10 of those 30 games. It is obvious, Frost is in over his head.

This is fair since the rest of the conference - and CF in general - makes fun of Nebraska.

Of course...because for 25 years all those people were kissing NU's *** and sucking on its dong. Now they get a chance to take some swipes. Who wouldn't do that??

That is the fun part of sports!

My post was in reference to those slamming the B1G. I've been a Nebraska fan for years especially in all of those classic Oklahoma-Nebraska epic clashes decades ago.

Granted, the SEC is tops in football but if you look at what the B1G is doing right now with expansion, they'll be the top college conference in all sports in the years to come. I've read that they now have 11 of the top 25 markets in the country and more to come. Yet some people on this board keep throwing shade at the conference that they're getting blasted in. This is the 21st century, not the 20th century when Nebraska excelled

My question: Where would you rather be? Back in what's going to be left of the Big 12 ? Good Lord.

I mean, if we are playing the hypothetical game...I would rather be back in the Big 12. Where road trips did not take a minimum of 8 hours.

Good luck with your road trips in the Big 12 when it blows apart or combines with what's left of the PAC in a couple of years. Oh, and for those complaining about the B1G, I forgot to add that Nebraska is the only school in the conference that isn't an AAU member. What a great addition

My point is that it was part of the requirement to join the conference and blew up. But since so many on this board can't stand the B1G, I'm sure that NU can ask to leave and forfeit the $100 million TV payout in 2023 or 2024. Boy, you guys are really getting the short end of the stick in this crappy conference. GIVE ME A BREAK. I'm sure schools like Oregon, Washington, ASU,,,,,,,etc....would switch places with you in a heart beat

Fans that go to schools that are in the AAU do.

Don’t you think it’s kind of embarrassing that NE is the lone dumb @ss school in the conference. But at least NE brought good sports programs. Oh wait…

You left out a bunch but I get your agenda and btw, the SEC plays only 8 conference games, so they all should technically be scheduling 2 power 5 out of conference games per team each but they don’t.
Indianna vs Cincy
Minnesota bs Colorado
Mich St vs Washington
Purdue vs Syracuse
Illinois vs Virginia
Rutgers vs Boston College
OSU vs Notre Dame
Iowa vs Iowa St

Just because one certain fan dog’s on the B1G doesn’t mean the rest of the fan hates the B1G..

But he has brought out facts that ‘s proven how successful the conference has been through out history..

No wonder you have that avatar.. Do you know what the real reason why Nebraska was voted out of AAU status?

come back when you can tell us the answer..Take a Hike..

No, I know they don't. I have many friends that went to Iowa, Illinois, Northwestern, Michigan and MSU.

Not one of them has ever once mentioned AAU, ever. Not once.

I'm not sure about this, but the AAU status at NE is not about academics, but the amount of grant money the University receives. Nebraska's grant money is low because the grants for medical research goes to the Nebraska Med center which is not considered part of the University. Am I right about this?

Well I agree it’s not a common topic to discuss, but pretty sure most fans are aware. I think you’d be surprised.
