Wiltfong disagrees. If he was going to pull ND trigger I think he would have done it on his official.
I believe you're thinking of Tim Ridder the big OT out of Creighton Prep.Hope is eventually N, but not looking very good at this point. Even when we were peaking for 3 decades, a few in-state studs got away. I remember a stud O-lineman back in the 90's that went to ND. Can't remember his name? Richter?
Not who I was thinking of.
Btw, I believe Tim Ridder is on CU coaching staff now.

Trevor Robinson from Elkhorn was another but maybe 2007 I think.Hope is eventually N, but not looking very good at this point. Even when we were peaking for 3 decades, a few in-state studs got away. I remember a stud O-lineman back in the 90's that went to ND. Can't remember his name? Richter?

Yep. That’s who I was thinking of...Trevor Robinson. I was ticked when he shunned us for the Irish. Are you thinking of Trevor Robinson from Elkhorn who went ND? That was more recent though...2004? 2005?
Which is which? If you are in education in Nebraska...you know the Ridders...and they come in two forms...Super awesome...or super *******
Yes, Larry Station was a tough one and he had a great college career. I believe there was another highly touted defensive player from Central shortly after that who didn't go to NU, but I cannot recall the name.Larry Station was always the one that hurt the most to me in the "one that got away" category.
I think it is hard for any of us die hard fans to believe, that anyone who lives here doesn't automatically love the huskers. Many families, kids live here but have zero interest in the huskers. So it isn't a dream for them to play for Nebraska. Suck be we aren't going to get every instate kid. As we have said we want kids who want to be here 100%. If the coaches have to convince and beg them to come here, it probably won't work out well.Hope is eventually N, but not looking very good at this point. How do you not love the Huskers? I’m not tracking here??I think it is hard for any of us die hard fans to believe, that anyone who lives here doesn't automatically love the huskers. Lol I know they are like aliens, hard to understand. How do you not love the Huskers? I’m not tracking here??

So long as our fanbase stays as rabid as it has been, Nebraska will never become completely irrelevant. Although it reached an all time high before Frost came in. His prestige as a coach alone has made us semi relevant again. I believe that’ll change this year if we miss another bowl though.Yeah, I think you are right. I think it also is true that, unlike before, we've had a lot of coaching changes and haven't been nationally relevant. That always helps land recruits, in-state especially.

Fong flipped his crystal ball to the Domers it looks like. Might be time to let this one go.
Then please pull the plug and do it, hopefully he’s not a publicity hound loving the attentionHe’s been wanting to play for the Irish from the very beginning, just like Wan’Dale Robinson wanted to play in Frost offense from the very beginning...
If he wants he can change his mind around Thanksgiving...

Ty Goode a WR from Lincoln South East picked ND as well in 1994Hope is eventually N, but not looking very good at this point. Even when we were peaking for 3 decades, a few in-state studs got away. I remember a stud O-lineman back in the 90's that went to ND. Can't remember his name? Richter?
Yep. Forgot about that kid. ND has done some damage in Nebraska over the years.Ty Goode a WR from Lincoln South East picked ND as well in 1994 as well

and correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think the Watts family is originally from Nebraska.
Gabbert and Hoch to Missouri too. Could have been a special class on offense.2008. Him and Jonas Gray were both 2007 defections to ND.
Right that is the kicker. Not from Nebraska and not fans. Tough to get a kid to stick around with zero connection to the state or program. They are from Minnesota & not Nebraska fans.

I think the two all-staters he won a title with last year then committed may disagree with the zero connection to the program bit but who knows
