or lose to Oral Roberts in the NCAA tourney? Idk... just kidding it's better to go to the NCAA but we can have fun laughing at Florida right now. I know I will.

Easily a NCAA appearance. A loss to Oral Roberts sucks, but lots of teams are getting upset. It’s the nature of this tournament. These days it seems the parody in college basketball is close between the non P5 schools. More so In any sport.

Would you have rather won the NIT 2 years ago instead of losing in the first round to Liberty? I wouldn't have, and Liberty is my least favorite of all ~350 D1 schools.

I'd take losing in the first round every single time over an NIT championship.

Question should be does it historically fair better for the next year's team if they win the NIT or have an embarrassing upset loss in the NCAA tourney? Virginia won the natty next year after losing to UMBC.

I just think NCAAT appearances are better, and more fun to be in as a fan. Losses in the first round suck, but at least you were giving the opportunity to go on a run. Nit is good for years like this year where we had no chance at the NCAAT. They really suck in years like 2012 where we should have been in the big dance. 2010 would be an example of that, but we played UNC at home. I was lucky enough to go to that game, and it was awesome even though we lost. At the end of the day NCAAT appearances are just better for program perception. This really shouldn’t even be an argument.

What about being #1 seed and losing in NIT?

After being in the mix for the NCAA. How would that make you feel??

Happened to the team up the road.
