lol he hasn't even made a decision if he is going to play or not. Just because his agent wants him to do it doesn't mean he will . He definitely shouldn't rush back until he is completely healthy

I wouldn't mess around with a foot problem in a big man either, but let's be honest: the kid doesn't want to play basketball. He wants to get paid. He'll try to make his situation murky, have a big year before he's eligible for an extension, then drop off the map after the papers are signed. Write it down.

So his agent recommends something and Simmons is the tool. Got it.

Those saying he shouldn't are pretty dumb. This is a injury that you take as much time as possible to heal from especially big guys. Durant made the mistake of coming back after it healed instead of taking extra time and had to get surgery on it again. You don't play around with that bone in the foot.

His choice of course - how long does he need to be fully healthy?
A foot fracture is no joke - team physician should evaluate and recommend though

If one of our 30 draft picks of the past 7 years agents said the same what would you say. The NBA is a buisness. You don't rub some dirt on it and say lets go. It's millions at stake

That said The 76rs are cursed

We've had 2 guys (Noel and Randle) sit out their first year. I can't remember anyone around here calling them names.

If a multimillion $ race horse fractures a bone, they sit out events as prestigious as the Derby for obvious reasons. The future of the product is at stake. No difference here. I wouldn't risk my future either.

That's bc they want to preserve the breeding for the bloodline.

Simmons is different. I read it's a 6-8 week recovery. He doesn't get to pick and choose when to play. It looks to me like he doesn't have the heart or the toughness for the game between his bust season at LSu and now the foot injury. Idk I'll wait to see what he does but I get the sense that he doesn't love the game

Wait a sec, so because his agent is advising him of something means that he's soft, that he's going to be a bust, AND that he's a pathetic waste? Did I read that correctly or am I missing something?

Really? That's a head scratcher for sure.

I agree with Jason on that he is easy to dislike but at the same time he should be smart enough to let the bone to heal.
