Point proven. Have fun in your bunker.
Yes, the point you are moron. And another lie about me. You are up to about 6 today. On a normal pace. I'm not living in a bunker. I'm following the scientist recommendations of trying to make the most out of living as safe as possible in this new normal as society is attempting to reopen.

It is amazing how many times the fat bruhard will deny the CDCs own numbers in a thread about the CDCs numbers while namecalling people for calling the virus what the CDC proves it is. If you guys ever needed to know why I mock this dunderhead moron, see this thread

Did you actually compare this to influenza numbers, or did you just claim that these are comparable to influenza numbers?

The overall death rate quoted here is over 4 times as large as the death rate from influenza from the 2018-2019 season. The overall hospitalization rate was roughly 3 times the influenza hospitalization rate. The other issue is that this is Monday morning quarterbacking this issue. We saw severe situations in China and Italy. We were using rough estimates based on what we could find from those situations to make decisions on how to proceed. This report is based on results using data through the end of April.

Another point to consider is that we thought that this was more contagious than the normal flu. We didn't know how much more contagious. The numbers in the report reflect that the we were close to correct on that number, and it's more than twice as contagious as the flu. That's a big part of the reason for closing things down, that and the earlier
lack of test availability.

These morons have swallowed the right wing spin in order to help promote Donald Trump's mishandling in the past and his current behavior and comments. They will next call you a science denier.

why aren't other causes of death not paraded with the same sense of urgency? Is it because there is no political value in motor vehicle deaths, alcohol and tobacco related illness, or even murder (unless its a white person killing a non-white)?
There's no urgency in those other causes? Those are continually paraded by organizations dedicated to fighting those fights. We have PSA's about drinking and driving, the dangers of smoking, the dangers of texting and driving, etc. We make the folks who manufacture the causes pay for the bulk of those PSA's too. Can you light up in a restaurant now? What about at the airport, outside of designated smoking areas that are enclosed and separate from non-smokers? Who dictates whether or not you can do that?

You are comparing .1% against .4% CFR's. Sure, it's 4 times larger, but we are talking minimal numbers compared to the 6% that was thrown around early on. The MSM is not correcting itself.

Now that we know that, yes. You make decisions based on what you know at the time. When we began closing things down, we were making educated guesses based on what we were seeing happen in other places, and not just third world places. And these numbers are based on period of time when most folks were locked down, so the ability for it to spread was diminished. We've seen over 100 thousand deaths from this in a few months. The 2018-2019 estimated influenza deaths are under 35 thousand. This isn't the flu. It may not be quite as bad as we thought it might get, but it isn't the flu.

Its the flu.
Compare the numbers. Find me a flu season that was as deadly as the last couple of months. Also, you are still looking at this with hindsight. The CDC recommendations in March did not have that advantage. And these transmission rates are still being lowered by restrictions in several states and also independently by many places of business.

The CFR for those under 65 is .2%, essentially the same as the flu. If we hadn't sent the sick to nursing homes, the death toll this year would be around 60,000 given MSM numbers, 40,000 given CDC numbers.

Our population infection rate is somewhere around 20% at current. People theorize that a percentage between 35-50% will bring herd immunity. We need to change our gameplan for next year. Protect the vulnerable, and get that herd immunity.

Read the report. Stop denying science.

What am I looking at in hindsight. Those are the CDC numbers right now. We did what we did in March based on the info we had then. Where have I stated differently. We need to be making our decisions moving forward based on the real numbers.

Fact is these morons follow Trump in trashing the CDC when they put out communication that goes against their hero's ******** and then they hold up a CDC draft document when it can be spun to Trump's advantage. And they have absolutely no problem with their lies. Whatever fits their agenda, it is the Trump gospel.

You sound mad...really angry things are better instead of worse. Where is your joy over the lower deaths, lower infection rates, lower hospital facility usage, lower projections of future outbreaks and Americans getting back to work? Why are you so angry things are not as bad as we were scared into believing?

It's just bizarre. Explain?

Science? How about when the CDC said that the virus lived on surfaces for an extended time period? Then they backtracked and said "oops, doesn't appear that surfaces are a threat after all".

Or the science that the mask you covet is basically just to make people "feel better"?

Fact is the scientific and medical professionals learn more about this virus on a daily basis. Con men like Trump and Trumpers like the OP scum said in February we knew everything about this "flu" and have been wrong ever since with their spin. But keep being hard headed while this isn't a flu.

So scientific and medical professionals are allowed to learn more about this virus, change their stance on the virus, their thoughts on the virus... . but Trump ain't?

Clever spin. No, Trump should not have tried to be a cheerleader with lies. He is a politician and the leader of the country. If he was honest with his comments, sure he can say he was wrong and is sorry. Has he? We all know that answer.

Disagreeing with the CDC now? Science matters until it doesnt fit the narrative. When that happens it is time to find a different science.
I think the CDC can be government style reactionary. Are they saying anything different Than the article is saying?
