Or you could say that mitigation didn't matter and same would have died without, or just use common sense? Why is that hard to believe?
I am sorry if you have trouble gleaning scientific data. Hard to trust science when you only speak democrat.

No, that's called Survival of the Fittest.....which is how we've lived forever.
Common sense would have been keep things open, be smart, if you are sick stay home, if you aren't go about your daily life, and if you are scared that your immune system can't manage to fight it then stay at home.
I don’t mind that approach going forward. As we know more - we know more about what should or shouldn’t have been done. Next 2-3 weeks will be revealing.
The media will try to find as many statistics to manipulate to get things shut back down. It's sickening.
Next 2-3 weeks will mean nothing for Trump and Trumpers. They don't care who or how many get sick nor do they care about number of deaths. They have taken a Health and Economic crisis and are reshaping the narrative and it is now a Political Crisis. It is all about the election and how to make Trump look like he has done well while making everything around Biden to look foolishly. It is a bunch of crap and is why I have said that Trump has turned this into a purely political circus. And Trumpers confuse criticism of any kind about our government as being "political". No, that isn't what is being discussed as I am explaining in this post once again.
So what's your plan then? To "save lives"? Stay in our homes for the next 6-12-18-24 months? That's the only way to avoid people from getting it, according to your side. That's a brilliant plan!!!!!!!!!
why aren't other causes of death not paraded with the same sense of urgency? Is it because there is no political value in motor vehicle deaths, alcohol and tobacco related illness, or even murder (unless its a white person killing a non-white)?

They are though, imo. Not sure I like the word paraded, but many people fight alcoholism daily, ask for legislation to prevent it, we even had it outlawed at one point if you remember. We see the same disgust and fear in the opioid crisis. Tobacco related deaths have been treated as serious for some time now, both in public and in court. Seatbelts are a law now, and I’m not sure if you’ve seen what goes into crash testing new models of cars these days? My youngest child’s car seat looks like something from a rocket ship. Different crises require different approaches.
addressing those issues as they have been is far different than using COVID for political purposes to destroy a sitting president. There is no comparison with those issue and what the left did with them to what COVID is now.

Seems the mitigating measures were to flatten the curve to enable hospitals the ability to provide service without over taxing their staffs and allow Science/Medicos time to develop vaccines for this previously unknown virus....

I just find it so sad that this far minority of scum view which discusses losing 100k of Americans in about 90 days from a virus we don't have any theaurapeutic medicine or vaccine yet is nothing more than a small little flu in your eyes. It is despicable and you are doing it for one reason and one reason only. Facts are, new strains of flu's are infectious but the medical professionals know how to deal with it to the point we don't lose this many people so quickly.
