Will Healy is also in the mix for Mizzou. I don’t think this will be the year he can make a jump. Probably another year or two but he is a rising up the boards very quickly. Has drawn similarities to PJ Fleck in energy and program building.
Jesus Christ. By whom?Has drawn similarities to PJ Fleck in energy and program building.
No way Ark is a better job than OM. Roster, recruiting footprint, culture (as in actually playing hard).
The last two coaches that were hired by Arkansas were considered good coaches at the time and left as punchlines. I think which is the better job depends on the candidate because it's completely subjective.Arkansas has Tyson chicken/ Wal Mart/ Jerry Jones money. They’re the only show in the state, and have a pretty decent football history. Yes, Arkansas is a dumpster fire at the moment, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a better job than ole miss. Ole Miss, like MSU, is a really hard job. Both jobs are brutal.
Jesus Christ. By whom?
PJ Fleck went took Western Michigan to the Cotton Bowl in his 4th year. Healy has coached in FBS for one year, and his team barely improved from 2018.
Good lord. Reading comprehension failure. No where did I say he ACCOMPLISHED what Fleck did. Where did you get that? I said he has similarities in ENERGY and program building.
Healy had Charlotte much improved over their history

Silly me, I thought the term "program building" meant building a program.
I'm sure there's a local high school coach that has even more energy than Fleck so I could really give a **** about that.
That's a stretch. They barely improved over the prior year.
Will Healy would be a freaking lottery ticket of a hire for an SEC school.
He had a losing record in his third and final year at Austin Peay. You're acting like he built the next Appalachian State.Well he built the program at Austin Peay. Program building applies. You can try to down play Charlotte job this year all you want but it’s their first winning season, first conference winning season, and they have never being higher than 10th in scoring in the conference ranks and was 3rd in his first year. It was a noticeable improvement from the past 4 year’s. His name is on Mizzou’s board as well for a reason. I don’t think he is ready either but another year or two or a school missing on guys this year make take the gamble. Who knows how he would do but he has a lot of buzz and AD’s are already paying attention to his job performance. No matter what you think or try to argue.

I don't have to downplay how he did at Charlotte this year. They barely improved from 2018. That's a fact. No downplaying required. Not saying he did bad job (any improvement is better than none), but it wasn't noteworthy either.
All him being brought up in multiple jobs means is either 1) There are multiple schools that are desperate enough for a lottery ticket or 2) He has a good agent. It sure as **** doesn't mean he is in any meaningful way comparable to PJ Fleck.
This is easy to compare, because since 1992 they've both played each other, while playing relatively the same type schedule. Arkansas leads the series 16-10 in that timeframe. Another milestone is when the conferences realigned again in 2012, and the series is tied 4-4 since then. I'd say historically Arkansas is better but the gap may be closing. Still no way you can say Ole Miss is best. They both have pre-integration national titles (actually Arkansas' may have been slightly after, I can't remember). Either way, still ancient history. No way Ark is a better job than OM. Roster, recruiting footprint, culture (as in actually playing hard).
Yes it is close. They may technically be better but it is certainly close. History bears this out.Arkansas is a better job than OM or State. They have less talent in state but do not have to share it with anyone so that is a wash. They are extremely close to Texas and Louisiana which is where the some of the best players in HS play anywhere. Culture can be changed in one offseason. They have a lot more money than either of our schools will ever have. This is not even close.
Fayetteville is not extremely close to Texas or Louisiana unless we get to claim to be extremely close to Georgia and Louisiana. They are extremely close to Texas and Louisiana

"If you remove their best-ever recruiting classes, we're almost as good."Who considered Morris a good coach? He was 14-22 at SMU. I think most fans were pretty disappointed when he was announced.
Bielema ultimately didn't work out but he was very close to working. Had some good moments like shutting out LSU 17-0, beating Texas 31-6, beating Ole Miss 30-0, and even almost beat Alabama but lost 14-13 on a missed extra point and lost a fumble out of the endzone on the 1 yard line. He had some bad luck and it all fell apart toward the end but it wasn't all bad.
In the last 10 years (except in years when Freeze was cheating which inflated their recruiting ranking) Ole Miss has recruited on average as the 29th best class. Arkansas in those same years has averaged to the 31st best class. Their recruiting is basically a wash except for the Freeze years.
