Bummer.

Trading him to the Bears was the beginning of the end of my Broncos fandom. Luckily Elway came back and gave us another golden era with Peyton

Always wanted Cutler to win one with the Bears, I think he could’ve been all-time great under the right conditions

I found the story interesting but really don't care one iota. I like the guy, we've all done what he got caught for.

Seems like it was about 1990 or so when fashion became a big deal for athletes, and kids. At the time my daughter was 14 and my son was 11 they thought they had to dress preppy, a complete 180 from their mom and I. My oldest grandsons are 24 and 21, and the younger ones 10 and 6, all of them, everyday, dressed to the nines.

But, looking good was a really big deal. I think Nike started that trend **** with the shoes, but I could be mistaken.

When I was in the service in Kansas City back in 1974, I went to a lot of MLB and NBA games. Hell, I watched some of the greatest players in that era in the NBA file off the team bus with all of them wearing t shirts and jeans, plain ole shirt and daily wear pants, fashion was no big deal

Unless you were a Clyde Frazier, Nate Archibald, a couple dudes who were slaves to fashion.
Some of the greats of all time, Russell, Kareem, Maravich, Cousy, Robertson, Baylor, West, all of them, no different than the man on the street, in the way they were dressed coming off the team bus.

Hell, I think Frenchy Fuqua, a RB for the Steelers was so fashionable he wore shoes that were clear high heels that actually had live fish in them. Course Joe Namath in the late 60's was wearing mink coats.

I was talking to this eighth grader yesterday asking him about his football season. It went pretty well. He wants to show me a picture on his phone of these helmets they’re going to get next year. $415. Really cool, but WHOA!! Can the poor school district spend 45 grand to kit up their football team? WTF?!?!!

Yeah, no ****. That's how it goes when you root for a team. Packers got whooped and Vikings won. Nothing to talk smack about this week.

Aren't you the guy who dropped his team, as an adult?

Calm down forum officer, I’m sure your twitterbot boyfriend will like your comment when he has time

Yes, I’m the adult whose interests changed. Broncos are terrible, and knowing that a sizable part of their fan base are CU fans makes it kinda funny

Guess that makes me a smarter, and more loyal Husker fan than you

You dropped your NFL team so you could have free reign to talk smack on the internet without recourse. Lame. And weird. You clearly still follow the NFL pretty closely so I doubt your interests changed.

Wrong. I had the realization that:

NFL = strength of your QB
College = strength of your coach

I enjoy watching Baker Mayfield and Josh Allen. Neither are likely to win a SB, but that’s fine because my personal identity isn’t tied to their organization, the way my tuition dollars to Nebraska are.

We got smoked. Welcome to the NFL. Still happy with where we sit and Detroit is definitely a problem. Even as a Packers fan I really like Dan Campbell, and I love his Applebee's commercials.

No one can dislike Dan. For anyone under the age of 40, this is what a man looks like.

Even bare-bones helmets for high school have become alarmingly expensive.

Throw in things like an extra $60 each for a new skin, and it gets even worse.

Go hop in your Jay Cutler jammies with the trap door and Bear ears. I don't want to keep you from chaffing your baby carrot any longer.

I’ll get on board for Detroit unless they’re playing the Chiefs. I felt like they did Goff dirty. There was a time when people didn’t think he had the brains to be an NFL quarterback because he was struggling in McVey’s system. Turns out he’s pretty damn good.

Eberflus has been a lame duck since the offseason.

Vrabel, come on down!

or this guy

I agree with you, but man some of the players on that team. If the Bears knock that ball down, there might be a different narrative right now. Bears have a pretty good roster and had shown improvement this year, but it is crazy to me how fragile that roster is. Maybe its from the head coach, but sheesh. DJ Moore just walking off is nuts.

This thread title is correct, it’s just aimed at the wrong bullseye

Always a huge mistake to retain LOSER coaches

Don’t we know it.
