This thread is for the people that come on here after every loss and trash our players and coach. I won't name names, but there is a contingent of posters among us that do it after every loss and even after some wins.
The problem is these posters are unrealistic and expect UK to easily win every game because we have some talent, well, there are a bunch of other teams out there that are pretty freakin' talented too, so you have to at least consider that UK can lose.
So, if those posters would just take a few minutes and prepare for the following, we will ALL be better off:
-Briscoe is going to miss some shots
-Bam is going to get into foul trouble
-Monk is probably going to be held well below his average
-Fox is going to have some turnovers
-Fox is not going to get a triple double
-Mulder is not going to play and is not going to be the difference between a win and a loss, he's just not
-Marcus Lee and Poythress wouldn't have been the difference and Cal didn't push them out
-our switching defense is what it is, it's going to give up a couple of buckets, accept it
-we are probably going to get out rebounded on both ends
-we are going to get into foul trouble and UL won't
-Willis is going to give us nothing
-Wenyen is going to miss a couple of defensive assignments, he's going to get blocked, he's going to blow a layup and he's going to give up open shots
-Briscoe is going to step on the end line at least once
-Hawkins is a role player that plays hard, he's not going to hit a bunch of shots
-All of our players are going to make at least 3 mistakes
-and the most important one of all: Prepare yourselves for a loss, just do it, get it in your minds now so it's not a shocker later.
Now, if any or all of these items don't happen, but you are prepared for them to happen, you will be in a better mood.
It's still freakin December and we are playing a lot of HS players, yes, they are good, but this is their first true road game. So expect them to be shell shocked, at least at first.
But don't belittle UL, they are a strong defensive team and they are tired of losing to daddy. So again, just get it in your minds now that UK COULD lose this game. If they do, it won't be a bad loss. So just Chill the F out.
