Not hard to see why we wiff on everyone.
Will Wade has started whipping up on us in recruiting as well.

Wade has a bunch of money, and even more minutes he can promise (with only 2 players on the roster).
We have money, too.
We also have a lot of minutes available, if you've seen our roster.
There is no circumstance in which UK should lose a recruitment to LSU.
Louisville needs to F off, hope their students enjoy never getting campus upgrades because all their tuition was spent on the basketball team
Family has a relationship with Wade. He coached his older brother at LSU.
Every player on the cusp has to say they are focused on the draft and want to be in the NBA. Oweh and Robinson said the said sort of stuff. You are interviewing and want to show you are all in.

These guys are not coming to this Trainwreck of a program at this time. When we get a new athletic director and coach that are committed to the highest standard of winning at ky then they will come and get paid appropriately.
Graves is solid in the top 25; he gone.
It’s been said LSU will be the leader if he comes back to college ever since he entered, not sure why anyone would be surprised by that. He will most likely stay in the draft though and go late first round.
I'd agree in general UK shouldn't be losing recruiting battles to LSU. But in Graves case it's a different story I think. Both he and his wife are also from Louisianna - just outside of Baton Rouge. That's quite a pull.
Now Duke is a different matter. It seems for quite a while we (and we're not alone) haven't been able to really compete with Duke head-to-head for players. And in this situation who is the one program Graves would consider other than LSU? Duke again. None of us like the idea, but when it comes to recruiting, Duke, more than any other program, "eats first."
If LSU and Duke are his first two choices out of three, I’d tell him those were his only two now. If he goes to Duke he will ride the bench and if he goes to LSU they will be under the NCAAs eye with Wade there. I guess Kentucky hurt him so bad when Oweh hit that shot he couldn’t stand the thought of coming here.
I don't know about you, but I like the backup Center and PF's we landed, more than the guys Will Wade beat us out on.

Just because Pope flew over there, doesn't mean he is obligated to overpay for a backup center.
LSU had 1 player and he is a guy UK essentially gave them, but they paid starter money for a guy we simply wanted as a backup.
If pope was going to take him from LSU, he was going to have to pay starter money and the second this board would have heard about that, Pope's house would be on fire.

This is not how NIL works. The money comes from outside donors, none comes from tuition.
But it does beg the question: Who is donating SO much money to UL basketball this year? It doesn’t make sense to me that they should have a deeper NIL pot to play with than us.

Tell your family to deal with it, you have an opportunity to play at Kentucky. He's the pro athlete in the family. He's the one making all the scratch.
I would guess is NBA or LSU for Graves. IIRC, he entered the portal with a “do not contact” tag. Chance the picture is different this late into the process.

LSU has none of our tradition. Rupps Runts the OG Fab 5, the Fiddlin Five...what Louisiana kid born in say 2006 wouldn't jump at this opportunity!!
