What’s funny is that he still isn’t making as much as Cal, who went 1-2 against Barnes this year
I'm amazed once again at these Tennessee fans. Why are you here at all? Who cares? Congrats on retaining your coach. There you go. That should do it. Bye.
Not surprised and good for him. He's from North Carolina, and presumably at this point in his life, it counts for a lot to be near family and friends (I can attest to that!). I think it's good for the SEC and certainly is a vote of confidence for our league that now has some top flight coaching across the board. And, why would anyone want to go to California and Los Angeles? It may be a place for some, and it's certainly nice to visit, but for my money Tennessee and especially my beloved Kentucky, for states and places to live, beat it by a very wide margin. I admire him for spurning their offer.turned down “lucrative offer”. Wow
You all are great at beating UK.Not good news for UK
Right. He has never accomplished any NCAA success. Yet the school, nearly all schools, feel compelled to bump a coach’s salary, years, benefits at the slightest hint of leaving. It’s funny because Barnes has done nothing in the NCAA tournament his entire career except one final four. Ironically, it’s one more than UT will ever have.
Here's the million dollar question: why do Tennessee fans feel the need to come to this board the moment they find out Barnes is staying? Does that even make sense?
Since we gave Cal one, that is our new measuring stick?Did he get a LT contract as well? No? Stuff it UT!!
Good for him and good for SEC BB.turned down “lucrative offer”. Wow
That is the SEC. Us and the NKOTB.Kentucky is going to floor them next year. Their fans will vanish. And we'll have *insert upstart SEC team* to deal with next.. Until their 1.5 year run is over..
Wash rinse repeat.
