What sucks is having to support a sports program where everything is painted in Pumpkin Puke. Well, that and the fact that the women have the only successful teams at that school.

I'm amazed once again at these Tennessee fans. Why are you here at all? Who cares? Congrats on retaining your coach. There you go. That should do it. Bye.

I supposed when you get one good group of players every few decades, you have to crow loud as you can while the crowing is good.

I, too, am amazed. I didn’t know that many could type.

A lucrative offer would be about 10 million a year.

12% state income tax in Cali 0 in Tennessee. 1% additional on everything over s million.

A one room house in Westwood would cost about 5 million. Then there's property taxes to cover all the illegals.

Then there's the traffic.

And you're also in California the nations left armpit.

His last chance to get out under Fullmer's thumb as he won't repeat this year again. Now let's see if Calipari can figure out how to beat him.

Lol, Tennessee fans are celebrating a slightly above average coach, that built a team for four years and came away with NOTHING, milked them out of more money.

Good lord, this is the epitome of stupid.

They literally won their super bowl in the SEC tournament versus Kentucky in the semifinals and really didn’t look good afterwards

We know they’ll hang a Sweet 16 banner, but these buffoons will probably hang a banner to celebrate their SEC tournament win against Kentucky as well. Just wow

I’m surprised UT didn’t offer Barnes a lifetime contract after 2 SEC title game appearances and a sweet sixteen banner season.

It doesn’t get much better if you’re a UT fan.

turned down “lucrative offer”. Wow
Not surprised and good for him. He's from North Carolina, and presumably at this point in his life, it counts for a lot to be near family and friends (I can attest to that!). I think it's good for the SEC and certainly is a vote of confidence for our league that now has some top flight coaching across the board. And, why would anyone want to go to California and Los Angeles? It may be a place for some, and it's certainly nice to visit, but for my money Tennessee and especially my beloved Kentucky, for states and places to live, beat it by a very wide margin. I admire him for spurning their offer.

Most of the banners hanging are from the lady Vols, the men's banner section is a 5'X5' section in the back.

Grant Williams is announcing his decision with an 11:30 press conference. Sounds like he may be returning?

I'm glad he's staying because I like having strong competition and bitter rivalries in the SEC. The regular season should be worth following.

It’s funny because Barnes has done nothing in the NCAA tournament his entire career except one final four. Ironically, it’s one more than UT will ever have.
Right. He has never accomplished any NCAA success. Yet the school, nearly all schools, feel compelled to bump a coach’s salary, years, benefits at the slightest hint of leaving.

That is how the game is played.

Kentucky is going to floor them next year. Their fans will vanish. And we'll have *insert upstart SEC team* to deal with next.. Until their 1.5 year run is over..

Wash rinse repeat.

Here's the million dollar question: why do Tennessee fans feel the need to come to this board the moment they find out Barnes is staying? Does that even make sense?

They want acceptance, you know when you know something, you go out and tell somebody bigger than yourself.
