But a degrading remark like that toward her also revealed what kind of person the poster is that said it. Both are disgusting and reveal a person's inner feelings about a person or a gender.
I'm sure you'd be fine if someone called your daughter/wife/etc that. No biggie right?

In my decade plus on catspause, I don't know if I've ever come across such an obtuse mischaracterization of a recent conversation as what you have posted here.

I don't like what the woman said, but you can find someone else to debate how evil she is (or is not). How racist is she? I dunno. Probably at least somewhat, but that's subjective, and the subjective is boring to me. Your guess is as good as mine.

I'm not like most "people people" in the sense that I am much more interested in what is possible: what is likely to occur, what is unlikely to occur, and the relative probabilities of all of those outcomes. The legal precedent thus far established is just one important component in determining those probabilities.

UK did what most institutions would do from a PR standpoint, and their decision will almost certainly go unchallenged for the reasons I laid out previously. This is exactly what I predicted would happen.

100% of my points centered around legal nuances that will likely never play out (as I discussed in excrutiating depth) and an array of physiological possibilities that still don't necessarily satisfy Ockham's razor (as I discussed in even greater depth).

I won't lie. I certainly have when I was much younger. I didnt use it as a broad brush, I used it just like I did "white trash" or redneck with sorry white people. Once I moved to the deep south I understood the problem with the word and haven't used it since. I was never racist, I simply dont like trashy, sorry people. Skin color doesn't change that.

I'm latino, and if some white lady yelled "spic" at a guy in Rupp, I would be sad, first and foremost, that there are still people out there who have that sentiment tucked away back in the recesses of their brain. Even if it takes alcohol to dig it out, that still sucks.

I wouldn't blame Rupp for trying to ban her, but I would also be interested in her neurological trauma because any good ddx involves a thorough history (I learned a little about that in med school, but if some of our resident neurosurgeons want to tell me what's possible, have at it), and I would be curious as to the legal precedent in cases like these, because I'm a curious guy.

Then I suppose @GonzoCat90 would imply that I'm racist, unintelligent, and probably an aggressive partisan who never shuts up about his political views due to the fact that I was willing to discuss the topic whatsoever instead of trying to shut down the conversation with a snarl.
