Well, that's the last anybody will hear about this guy until next year's draft lottery. As was said on here before, any elite high school bball recruit who picks a football school over basketball schools should have his judgment questioned and head examined

Cal made a mistake not taking Allen last year. Not only was he a great player, Allens development apparently had an impact on Bambas decision.

But, at least he didn't go to Duke. We have plenty of big guys, so we'll be fine.

Even though I started believing all the pundits saying it was UK, I've always had a sneaky suspicion we weren't getting him. Can't put a finger on it, but he just didn't give off the vibe he was coming.

I'm as shocked as I was with the Knox commitment. This one hurts, we needed another big man. Guess he wasn't about the spotlight

Good luck to him. Shaka is a good coach who hasn't found his footing there yet but I think he will. Never thought we were getting him. Actually felt like Duke would get him but at least glad that didn't happen. We will be fine. We have some great young bigs to develop and win with. Richards, SKJ, Gabriel, PJ, Vanderbilt, Wynyard is 5 5 stars and a highly touted international guy at the 4 & 5 positions. No reason why we can't win with that.

This board is going to melt down when Diallo stays in the draft

It most assuredly will. And he will most assuredly stay in draft. Expectations for next year will assuredly drop as well. As it dragged on I feared Bambas heart was elsewhere.

Very odd considering Tevin Mack just left, too. Oh well. We will roll with what we got and Texas will be irrelevant. Time for SKJ to shine.

How many posters said they would rather have 2 year Bam then a 1 Year Bamba, well we get neither =\. Wish Bam would've came back.

Really hate to lose him but as others have said at least Duke did not get him. I really wanted him at UK. Oh well as Cal says "who next".

Reading that article was like hanging out with my friend in school who wanted to act so smart but in reality was actually not that smart. Reading about how great of a strength and conditioning program Texas has for its players. It is a football school and I bet Kevin Durant really improved his strength there. He could not bench 185 at the combine.

I thought we would get him but it's not surprising. Some kids would rather show how different they are than actually challenge themselves, get better and win. See Markelle Fultz.

I don't think we can honestly be upset. If the kid really chose Texas over UK and Duke then it was a lost cause. We won't hear from him again until next May.
