Maybe it is a sign of the times. While I appreciate the preliminary appearance that players leaving is a sign of competition and that the highest levels of achievement are being demanded, there is that sinking concern that it would be a better sign if the staff was getting the best out of players rather than creating a revolving door. He certainly had potential, huge potential it appeared. While not all players pan out, this departure feels like a loss. Time will tell if Roberts pans out somewhere else and was a loss or if the apparent lack of performance was indicative of a bigger problem with him.
