So then what is Cal? Am I forgetting something or did his teams have wins later vacated at both UMass and Memphis? This season just had a player post a video holding a very suspicious amount of cash.

Everyone plays the game...wake up.
Am I forgetting something or did cal self report Marcus Camby taking money from a agent and didn’t the NCAA clear rose before investigating his SAT score? and wasn’t cal cleared of all wrong doing in NCAA reports? pretty funny considering pearl has been caught at every school he’s been at offering a SUV to a recruit, asking a recruit to snitch on another school, hosting a illegal BBQ and then lying to the NCAA about it and sending a assistant coach to prison at auburn.

stick to rubbing lotion on your cousins back

LOL Green is going overseas and Auburn has no chance at Brown . He is going to UT. UT is going to be really good next season as is UF . Those 2 teams are the SEC challengers. AU lost too much and replaces it with some talent but not nearly enough. They would have to add Brown , Green , Thor and Cooper to be good next year.

We’ll see if Green plays college. Lost a lot of respect for Brown after his troll jobs so i honestly dont care about him but would prefer he not go to Memphis. If he goes to Auburn so be it but moneys still on Texas. Think hes gonna blow smoke in a lot of directions until decision day to make fan bases care and stay home like most expect. I highly doubt he comes here so i could care less and if he does then color me surprised.
I will say Cooper will be fun to watch though, kids a baller

Auburn is in itch on the *** of kentucky. Theyll live off a few wins against uk for years and years while uk moves on and continues to do uk things like make FF and compete for titles. Its the way of the world

They are losing 5 seniors who played most of the minutes plus Okoro.

Doughty
Wiley
Purifoy
Mclemore
McCormick

They are losing a ton and currently only have 3 signed recruits.

Ole Brucie will have his work cut out for him next season regardless, but he’s not pulling in Brown or Green anyways..

If they are getting that level of talent and beating Cal for those guys (Brown, Kuminga), they are cheating with impunity. Cal is a better salesman than even Pearl, but he also has a better track record of developing guys.
Meh. Anything’s possible but I never say crap like that without proof. That’s why I had nothing to apologize for when Cal came here. And had a right to be pissed about what UL fans said after he came here.

Auburn seems to be quietly positioned to put together a super-class of their own.

They already have a commitment from top-20 recruit Sharife Cooper.

Jalen Green, a consensus top-5 player (some services have him #1 overall) just announced he'll be committing next Friday, and Auburn is the overwhelming favorite in his crystal ball.

JT Thor is going to announce soon, and Auburn is in a good spot for him as well (Chris Fisher logged a pick for Auburn last night and said they have the momentum)

Tipton Edits put it out last night that Rivals is reporting Auburn has now overtaken Texas as the leader for Greg Brown's recruitment.

Not to mention Auburn is very much in play for Kuminga.

Something to watch for going forward, Auburn is quietly making a pretty huge push down the stretch here for a pretty impressive class.
LSU, Auburn and Arizona keep churning along, nothing has changed.

What a weird thread. Brown is going to Texas. Green may commit to Memphis but will never play college ball. Pearl has done a poor job restocking his roster. Lost 5 seniors plus Okoro. Has Cooper coming in who is the riskiest top 25 player in the class according to Bossi. I agree with that. He’s small like Ulis without the quickness. Going to a rough year for Auburn. I guess they can still count on 20+ wins though considering they will play another horrific pre-conference schedule. They do still have that going for them.

I can't remember but I've heard another SEC team does the same thing every season.
I do not believe aU could survive the turn over as well as that other team.
Let an assistant coach get FIRED at that other school, and it would have been house cleaning from TOP to bottom.
BP is a low life that let placed the blame on his assistant.

I mean, right now Auburn doesn't have anyone. What, like 8 players on the roster. Also, they didn't just lose five starters. They lost McLemore too, basically their entire rotation.

I don’t think they’re getting green. Just from reading around it seems like they’re a distant 3rd behind Memphis and overseas.

And the people that do this for a living are all pretty confident in brown to Texas right now.

They also think JT Thor is going to ok state.

It would be quite an accomplishment for pearl just to make the tourney next year. The SEC aside from UK and Auburn should be much stronger. We may struggle ourselves. As a matter of fact I would expect it. Though I still think we make the field pretty comfortably in the end. Auburn doesn’t have the talent coming in that we do however.
Can’t see Thor anywhere it OSU.
Whoops

Actually win 8 titles or heck win even 1 title and then you can come back and thump your chest. In the meantime go back to your board and talk about the glory days of Barkley and the Person brothers with the other AU basketball fan.

Fans don't win titles unfortunately :(.

Outside of some people here constantly dogging Pearl, I have had a ton of good conversation here. We should be rooting for fellow SEC teams to improve. I am sick and tired of the SEC being crapped on by the ACC and the B1G in basketball. Even when those conferences are down they get more respect than us. We need to prop each other up, not trash each other every time something good happens.

I get it. Kentucky is the King of SEC basketball. That's not changing in any of our lifetimes. No need to be hostile because one time in 50 tries Auburn may or may not land a recruit you wanted.

Outside of that, as I said before I am happy we are at least pulling our weight in basketball for the last few seasons. Kentucky has carried this conference for years. You guys have the #1 class and represent this conference amazingly EVERY SINGLE YEAR. I hope we can keep this up and we can provide you a quality opponent for years to come. Win or Lose, OOC and when the NCAA starts I am all SEC until we play one another.

100% true. We are losing 5 seniors (McLemore, McCormick, Doughty, Purifoy and Wiley) and Okoro.

If we land Green our class will be phenomenal
Brown and Green?...epic

We'd have a top 2 class behind only Kentucky. If Duke adds another we would probably fall to #3 and yes epic would be a great word because of the impact it would have for us for sure.

Heard a lot of rumors about Green potentially going overseas instead of college. Heard any update on that lately?

Another awesome bit of information is that with JT Thor's commitment the SEC now has 5 of the top 10 classes.

#1 Kentucky
#5 Tennessee
#6 LSU
#7 Arkansas
#8 Auburn

Alabama isn't far behind at #16.

These rankings don't include impact transfers!

I'm far from an insider. He once stated he was 100% going to college but recently there have been rumors he could still go overseas. No one really knows, but we'll all find out soon enough lol.

***Edit***

There are still a large number of people who thinks he ends up at Memphis as well. He is far from an Auburn lock. Our insiders are confident but so are theirs. His commitment is wide open and probably only a few people know what he's going to do.

Auburn will not be very good regardless of who they land. They'll be young and inexperienced. Probably a NIT team.

He is Texas-bound, folks; this has been known for sometime and was more than certain once the NCAA tournament was cancelled. The reason Cal continued to pursue him was simply because it appeared Shaka was on the way out the door; it gave us [UK] a potential opportunity had that occurred--you don't want a severed relationship if you know you have a chance. Had they not made the tournament it is possible Texas would have fired him

Quite frankly, they have decent team coming back next year; this is Shaka's final chance. How they finish next year determines his future at that institution; but, for now, Greg Brown saved him his job ... at least this year.

And for those wondering ... Jalen Green is Memphis bound. 'The City' is sleeping well this week. Penny's future rest on this young man, as well.

Posted this in another thread, but I'll leave it here, as well. I wouldn't worry too much about Bruce, for now. #TheRealSources
