Auburn's Recruiting

Auburn seems to be quietly positioned to put together a super-class of their own.

They already have a commitment from top-20 recruit Sharife Cooper.

Jalen Green, a consensus top-5 player (some services have him #1 overall) just announced he'll be committing next Friday, and Auburn is the overwhelming favorite in his crystal ball.

JT Thor is going to announce soon, and Auburn is in a good spot for him as well (Chris Fisher logged a pick for Auburn last night and said they have the momentum)

Tipton Edits put it out last night that Rivals is reporting Auburn has now overtaken Texas as the leader for Greg Brown's recruitment.

Not to mention Auburn is very much in play for Kuminga.

Something to watch for going forward, Auburn is quietly making a pretty huge push down the stretch here for a pretty impressive class.

I don’t think they’re getting green. Just from reading around it seems like they’re a distant 3rd behind Memphis and overseas.

And the people that do this for a living are all pretty confident in brown to Texas right now.

They also think JT Thor is going to ok state.

It would be quite an accomplishment for pearl just to make the tourney next year. The SEC aside from UK and Auburn should be much stronger. We may struggle ourselves. As a matter of fact I would expect it. Though I still think we make the field pretty comfortably in the end. Auburn doesn’t have the talent coming in that we do however.

let me get this straight
UK loses 5 starters and we get the #1 class and some on here say we are going to struggle mightily
AU loses 5 starters and if they add a couple of more guys they will be a very good and dangerous team
hmm.......................................

If something shady is going on, how do they do it? How does anyone do it? I am being serious. I guess I am too naive to get it or maybe it's because I would never even think about cheating, so I guess my brain can't figure out how to do it. Is it just cash and if so, why is that not easily traceable? But for Pearl to get those guys it does seem unusual. I guess I am just stupid. I would never cheat. For one, I would be afraid of getting caught. I don't understand how these kids don't see that Cal is the best option for them, especially if they want to go to the NBA. His track record speaks for itself. Why would they want to play for Pearl and Auburn? Except for "other benefits." Thanks for any insight to help my little brain.

As far as cheating....everyone does it.

As far as the NBA....Pearl turned Okeke into a lottery pick, Okoro into maybe a top 5 pick, and Harper had a 2-way contract with the Suns until recently. All 3 of those players had much lower stocks than that coming out of High School.

Kentucky is always going to be attractive to big time recruits, especially when they have a coach at the level of Cal, but everyone can't go to Kentucky or Duke. Rosters already pretty crowded.

Need one with ‘14 runner up and ‘15 FF as well or has our camera companies not developed a lens with that wide of a capability yet?
there’s a photo of it it just wouldn’t let me post it (red x) point stands though auburn fans blow their load over that elite eight win auburn could go to a final four for 13 straight years and still have less final fours than UK it’s pretty funny
