F him and his $2 million per year. He is the worst coach we have ever had...period.
He sucks but Flood was much worse. What if you reversed the timing of each coach and Flood came into the situation that Ash came into, and Ash came in with all of Schianos players still on the team?

Shea has them both beat but they are numbers 2 & 3 no matter how you arrange them.

Doesn't matter what he walked into.
Doesn't matter how bad Flood was.
Only thing that matters is:
Ash hasn't shown he can overcome what he walked into, hasn't proven to be better than Flood coaching or recruiting and proved he isn't capable of making Rutgers a winning program.

What he has done:
Ash has proven he can make RU laughed at again and considered one of the worst college football programs again.

Good Bye Chrissie
Good Byre Chrissie
Good Bye Chrissie
It's time for the Ash to go.

I don't think Hobbs should be fired for the original hire but he should pay for the contract extension. That bonehead decision cost Rutgers alot of money. Ashs salary, decreased ticket sales, a return of an apathetic fanbase that will be difficult to bring back.
The extension was part of the original contract and was because of the issues Flood left us

You can't reverse rolls. Anyway, both s*ck and I don't think Ash would have had better results. Sh*t stinks no matter how much perfume you spray on it.

There is no crime. Coaching choices at Rutgers are a total crapshoot with the odds stacked against us.

He’s the pool we swim in. He’s horrible and pathetic but he showed up for work everyday and gave it his best. Problem is his best sucks.

None of this is criminal.
Excellent post. I rarely agree with you, but this is correct.

No one is ever going to fire Hobbs for this horrific mess he created by hiring Ash. So that kind of comment just wasting g your time.

Again, Hobbs caused this mess, but he alone really can't fix it. Barchi and the BOG hold the purse strings. And we all know they don't care a whole lot. It will take a miracle to get us out of this shi-hole. Another year of Ash wouldn't surprise me.

But... he had zero HC experience. There were alternatives that had such experience.

Resign now Chris

Like it or not, this game was a litmus test for many long time RU fans.

We are in our 4th year with Ash in the B1G. And today we get dominated on the ground by a low end BC team from the ACC that got torched at home by Kansas last week.

BC outgained us rushing 272 to 76 today. Total indictment of Chris Ash regime.

Please stop with this narrative. There are numerous coaches with head coach experience that are failing miserably. It is a crap shoot unless you hire Urban Meyer or Nick Saban. Harbaugh got waxed by Wisconsin today, who was not in the conversation to win the West. Michigan is supposedly loaded and this is supposed to be their year.

Really? So a Wisconsin team ranked in the top 15 in the country and highest ranked team in the west wasn’t even in the conversation to win the west. Who was in the conversation then.

So? What was Schiano's HC experience? Flood's? Anderson's? Graber's? OK, the latter two were basically the same as far as results while at RU go, but still ... The point is LOTS of hires every year lack HC experience.

We can't hire a resume any more than we can hire a good recommendation from Bill Walsh. (Oh yeah, that reminds me: Shea HAD HC experience. How did that go?)

I don't know who the right guy is, but we all have thoughts on who it COULD be. But none of us is the one whose job depends on this next hire -- if he's allowed to make it.

It was widely expected Nebraska and Iowa, with Wisconsin in third.

Woopty doo on early season rankings. How is that working out for Michigan and Maryland?

Wisconsin has Taylor, but there was a huge question mark at QB.
Jack Coan has really stepped up. Fun fact: he was the recruit Flood was recruiting when he was fired in the helicopter by Barchi.

Interesting tidbit on Coan. Where is he from?
