we’ve proven to the committee we can dominate top 15 teams from start to finish well before the Maryland game.

we have not proven to the committee we can win an away gene against decent competition. That’s why it’s much more important. We need to prove something to the committee.
So if we were 3-9 on the road and 2 of the other road wins were to teams with a Net or Kenpom of 100-150 , do you think that would make a difference? You do not think losing to the 8 ranked teams in the country in this past week ‘s poll, to #9 Maryland by 5, #16 Michigan State by 12, to # 18 Iowa by 5 , to #19 Ohio State by 6, to #20 Penn State by 1, to #23 Illinois by 3, to #24 Wisconsin by 8, and to #25 Michigan on a neutral by 6, is amazingly good and amazingly unlucky as compared to this terrible negative that is in your head.?

Our games on the road have been good. But it’s my opinion we need to win one.

I agree. Win at Purdue or at least one game in B1G tourney and we are in. Lose both and we are a high seed in NIT IMO. It's nice to have a bunch of close road losses to good teams but you gotta win one

I am glad you are not anywhere near the committee. The committee if they are doing their jobs and picking the best 37 at large schools would be grossly negligent if they didn’t examine the losses, who did they lose to and by how much and was the game close and competitive. If you think losing to the top 25-30 teams in the country is the same as losing to a lesser team and is just”good” you are clueless . Although the media and coaches sometimes have biases, they have told you that they have voted those Big 10 teams the best 25 teams in the country that Rutgers has lost to, not some dumpy bubble team. In fact, we have not lost to any bubble team period. We have beaten Indiana, Purdue and Minnesota who are the only teams that can be considered on the bubble and mostly by double digits. At some point , the thought process has to kick in that Rutgers is a good team and easily one of the best 37 at large teams. The fact you cannot see it and think 2-10 is so incredibly better than 1-11 is a little mind boggling. We have been just a tad unlikely not winning one or two of those games against the equivalent of games against teams seeded 2-7 in the NCAA tourney.

I dont get the mindset that 2 wins erases that issue. 2 road wins is still bad. Everyone has at least one weakness on their resume or they wouldn't be on the bubble. We have a very strong resume besides that and other teams resumes on the bubble look like :poop next to ours
