Yeah, the thrust of this is to support his buddy Bruiser Flint, who just lost his job at Drexel because his team sucked this season because of an unexpected departure of their star player, Damion Lee, who transferred as a grad student to Louisville and was immediately eligible under the rule the NCAA put in place a few years back.
The player for UK he's referring to was Julius Mays, who is the only grad transfer Calipari has taken. He's saying that there are times when a guy is going to transfer somewhere, so where do you want him to go? To Duke? To UL? To a conference rival? He's gonna go, so somebody will take him.
But he's angry because Bruiser lost his job. And he's not lashing out at a particular school or player, just frustrated with that rule because he knows a coach somewhere spent 3 years or more pouring his heart and soul into that guy and now he's allowed to just leave without even sitting a year. He already didn't like it, but seeing his buddy lose his job over it drove that home.
