Are you suggesting that him making a bad business decision was a plan to screw subscribers? So he lost money on purpose? The rivals deal was a wreck, I'll give you that. But the new site is good and he is honoring all lifetime memberships. I gather that the people that are the most pissy about MW are owed a magazine or t-shirt or something. Then some people want refunds on lifetime membership that they used for years at the old site and could use at the new site. It seems to me that a lot of people like to ***** incessantly about MW and it has become almost internet cool to some. All I know is that MW has always been avaliable to me for any concerns and I like the new site. Im sure Im about to be onslaughted with "Screw you!! I was just surprised after the way the merger was handled that anyone would trust him enough to read his work. It's a fair question. There were huge threads here claiming that he wasn't answering emails, that people didn't get promised items like nights at hotels, etc.

I dont even know him at all. So no way I could like him. The merger sucked, I agree. In my opinion his work was and is still good. I dont have issues trusting his work because the merger fell through. He writes for the SDN, I wouldnt call his work untrustable. Just my opinion. In regards to the long threads of people complaining about his services, I have never had that issue and i have never met him in my life. I just dont understand the people who constantly ***** and ***** and *****. I paid $200 for a lifetime a few months before the merger and it fell through. I got one of the rawest deals out of any of these people complaining. I dont think MW made that business decision to screw someone like me intentionally. The new site got up and running and I transfered my stuff over there and I think its pretty good. They run specials now for $50 lifetime memberships and I dont freak out and ***** about how I paid 200 and this is bs, etc... Its just not what type of person i am.

I have sent emails to his email address (which he sends email after email to me from) and gotten no response and I have gone to the website to try to contact him a couple of times and still no response. I will never subscribe to that site and am hoping to warn anyone who is thinking about subscribing there that just because you pay the money doesn't mean you get a subscription--they took my money and ran. I would avoid this site at all costs.

About this time my subscription to Gene's page came due. I did not renew, and a few days later I got an email from Gene. Explained what was going on, and Gene offered me 6 months free to land back on my feet.
I bought in to a lifetime subscription to Wardlaw pretty early. Got a polo and a free night at the HI. Never used the free night, but that was my fault. Wardlaw even offered to negotiate the chance to use the night past the expiration date. **** went down with rivals, but this was two and a half years after my lifetime cost. He starts his new old site, and I still have an active lifetime account. Not sure how long it will last, but with the exception of being a ****** person to correspond with, no major issues.
Now enter 247. Signed up for free trial, and was less than impressed. Let my free trial lapse by a few days (my fault, it was explicitly stated, I'm just lazy). Expressed my desire to get a prorated refund and cited my lack of access for over two months. I was told basically (not by Paul, some other guy) to screw off, that's not how 247 rolls, you just dropped a C-note *****.
So, of these three stories, it's pretty obvious which one won't see a dime from me again.
In short, everyone has a ****** story about some service provider.

I bought a lifetime subscription to the site about 8 months before the merger and have enjoyed it since. The merger sucked and I never got my hotel. Having said that, I was mainly interested in getting MSU news and he and John do a good job with articles, recruiting and chats. The board traffic is about a third of Paul's 24/7, but they honored my lifetime when it opened back up. I'm getting what I paid for---info on MSU.
Wardlaw recanted the Moultrie tidbit in his synopsis. According to Wardlaw, he said he talked to Stricklin and Stricklin said it was 100% not true.
I think many would agree that before the merger, BDJ was the best site hands down. The merger was a bad business decision. Unfortunately, it didn't just affect MW. It affected all who were BDJ members and staff. It's taken MW over a year to recover from that. But now BDJ is returning back into the reliable site that it once was. I never had a problem getting my Lifetime Membership recognized after the merger. Michael's never been anything but honest and apologizing from my point of view through the whole ordeal. The advantage MW has, is he gets to do what he wants. He's not being controlled by rivals, 247, or scout. So the sky's the limit. Much trust was lost, but will be regained by most as time heals the wounds of the merger. What's done was done. Fact is either Paul and Michael pretty much break every story and have the best relationships with the Athletic department.
Short of the hotel room, I have gotten what I expected. Micheal does write interesting stuff and has very good ties to the program. His forums are slow, but then again, if you take the UM threads and redundant basketball threads off SPS, it would look slow at times too.
He promised things, like the magazine, that he never delivered on. I emailed that jackass at least 7 or 8 times and he never responded. He took my money in exchange for a product that he never produced. That is why the majority of people can't stand his ***. He may have changed since he cluster $!+!%# so many Bulldog fans in his last venture, but in my book he's still a BIG piece of **** no matter how or what he writes. He deserves all the negative crap he receives.
right here. He puts unsubstantiated **** in his writings that make the university look bad. He's supposed to be a supporter of MSU athletics. How the 17 is that being supportive at all? And this mother17 was on the plane to Jackson with them last night. I just don't understand it.
I will also agree that isnt a good business model. It just trips me out of people are willing to get so angry and call him a pos over a magazine that happened how long ago? To some degree every single customer got a raw deal with the merger. I will concede that some got it worse that others. But good god, Ive got numerous people in my life that owe me way more substantial stuff than a magazine,cowbell, or free night at a hotel and i just let it go. Its way easier than staying extremely pissed forever
for continuing to try to push MW on people. Your credibility is shot. People have opinions and you will never change that. When you get screwed over like he has screwed faithful Bulldog fans (and his employees), you don't forget or forgive a POS like MW. You can defend him all you want, but it will never change my opinion of MW. You don't treat paying customers like he has and come out smelling like roses. If people ask me about BDJ, I tell them exactly what has happened to me and many others. I highly recommend another site to them. Why don't you just run to MW and suck his cock since he has seemed to have made you his little *****?

I'm just stating the factual events of what happened to me.
I emailed 247 5 days after my subscription lapsed on 12/31/2011. I was told a partial refund was not an option (I was charged for the year). I responded citing my lack of access, and asked them to reconsider. I received no response.
For the vast majority, that's no big deal. However, I chose to do business with people who aren't rigid in their practices.
