Took some adjusting at first to get used to the rate of delivery, but I thought it was entertaining overall.
Thoughts?

Saw it live in two different cities...

Before the first time I thought I was going to have a lot of trouble understanding the fast delivery, but I was pleasantly surprised at how I caught (nearly) everything. I had the lyrics on my phone ready to read along, but didn't need them.

Haven't watched it on TV yet.

Like you, it took me a bit to get into it, but after my wife turned subtitles on, it was a whole lot easier to keep up with the dialogue. I’ll admit that my initial reaction to the first half was that the hype was a tad overrated, but it closed strong. Overall, I enjoyed it

Yes, not a huge Broadway fan, but it was entertaining. Definitely recommend watching with captions, to catch all the lyrics. I saw an article today that Hamilton has twice as many words per minute as any other major musical production. If watching it in person, I would have missed half the dialogue.

In person, it is still the best Broadway production I have ever seen.

Its still great in the filmed Disney+ version but it definitely loses a lot of the impact. Of course, its literally filming a play, which would be hard to capture. This is evident in every live action thing they do.

Still worth a watch. We watched with our daughter last night.

I generally enjoy musicals and hadn't seen Hamilton yet. We put it on Friday night and made it about 30 minutes (even with captions) before turning it off. Just couldn't get into it at all.

It's definitely the most dense thing I've ever watched on stage. At times I found myself trying to figure out what they just said and I missed the next line. It's one of those things I'd love to go experience again but I'm not paying that price a second go-round.

If you enjoyed watching Hamilton on Disney+ with the family, sit down and watch Newsies. It's fantastic.

Not really a fan of musicals. What makes Hamilton so great vs other musicals.

I'll give it a try this week. How is it for children to watch?

I enjoyed it a lot. I actually have it on now just as background noise while I do other things.

I've listened to the soundtrack repeatedly for years. Glad to finally have the visuals -- but I already had my own version in my head! :)

I always tear up when she founds the orphanage.

There are a LOT of historical inaccuracies in this show which are intentionally blurring the facts for the sake of an agenda. Hamilton was not an immigrant; he was born a British subject in the Caribbean and came (legally) to the British colonies in America and became a citizen the same as every other founding father. He was a slave buyer and seller, though did not own any himself.

If you love Hamilton and admire AH's life enough to learn about his real impact on America, read The Federalist Papers. We could conceivably have a very different country today without his efforts to get our Constitution ratified.

All my disagreements with the historical issues aside, I think Lin Manuel Miranda is a genius and I credit this show for giving me an appreciation of the artistic possibilities of hip hop as a genre. Few people use it well, in my view, but this proved to me that it can be done.

I’ve heard that isn’t not too accurate, that there wasn’t that much singing going on

Don't like musicals or revisionist history. So no, I think I'll skip it.

Daveed Diggs' delivery is incredible. I've not seen it performed but would like to. I have listened to the soundtrack several times.

Don't know anything about it... is it historically accurate or do they take some liberties (other than the races of people playing historical figures)?
