I think Cal is human and not a perfect coach. He's grown and learned. I thought he out-coached Alford big time.

I didn't think he got out-coached today.

When we won it in 2012, we had the trees. We had Davis and Jones. We had MKG and Miller. Teague was a decent sized pg.

When we went on the run with Randle and company, we did a great job of rebounding during the run

I think rebounding is often the most important aspect of the game, and UNC dominated it in a game that was decided by 2 points. If we get 3-4 more rebounds, it's a completely different conversation. And you simply can't make guys go up higher than the UNC guys. This year, they had the trees.

Please explain to me how Cal got outcoached? Explain that to me please.

Yes, because we were going to so many more final fours and winning so many more titles with other coaches and systems than with Cal's.

And 1 title.. I never said Cal shouldn't be coach.. I said he needs to change the way he recruits to get upperclassman..

I can go along with the time out issue - same thing in 2010 and 2015 if you ask me.

UNC went to zone, negated Humps short jumper, brought Willis in to shoot them out of zone in my opinion, didnt work but not a terrible idea.

UK has had more over all success than any other school since he has been here.

And I'm appreciative of them, especially the seniors. But those aren't the ones I'm talking about. They basically had no choice. We have to start returning players that were atleast decent and contributed on teams or even did atlot. Jones and Lamb are perfect examples. So are the guys that returned in 2015. It's pretty clear the only way we are getting another title is with a team with massively overwhelming talent like in 2012 or 2015. But even that doesn't guarantee it.

I think several posters don't realize how difficult it is to win a title.

And I think some grew up in the "everyone wins a trophy" generation and have some silly sense of entitlement. You'd think they personally have millions invested in "winning titles".

I expect a chance...a shot at the NC every year. But...I understand these are just kids and it's very tough to win 6 straight against the best teams and players in the NCAA.

If you can't see that he needs to start trying to keep some of his freshmen for more than one year then you better get used to these losses in the tournament.

Doron Lamb, Terrence Jones, Andrew and Aaron Harrison, Tyler Ulis, Willie Cauley Stein, Marcus Lee, Alex Poythress and others disagree with you. Now if you're talking about players like Cousins, Davis, Wall and Towns then that's just stupid. Cal is not gonna be like Coach K and hold players back just so he can win more titles and try to make the fanbase happy. The fact that Cal gets the players to the NBA is why they come here. That's why Pitino doesn't sniff any of these types of players.

We've had an incredible run over the last 8 years and were one shot away from overtime in a regional final. Nobody has figured out a way to guarantee an NCAA championship and it's harder today than ever. We've had a great run and a great year. Either learn to enjoy it or find another team to root for.

Reread my post friend. I was not claiming Calipari was outcoached. That's what my response was saying.

Roy had the bigger team and the bigger team won. You can't coach size. Meeks getting 17 rebounds was the difference. That's not on anyone.
