I heard a rumor that Grant is so smooth he can lead a horse to water AND make it drink.

Yeah can't say that's a surprise. Also, what I said wasn't even remotely hypocritical. None of our RB's are good at hitting a cutback lane, and that's a fact. Just because you found a couple clips showing the one time they did it doesn't mean that they haven't been missing a lot more opportunities. And yeah, they got a big chunk of yards on those plays, the cutback works just like I said.

I really don't care what everyone else says, I've been right plenty of times before when everyone else was wrong, and I'm right more than I'm wrong. Plus I'm willing to admit when I'm wrong which I rarely see anyone else do. To be frank, I probably am the smartest guy in this room but don't feel the need to parade that around with the exception of this post.
You sound like you have a lot in common with Frost.

Saying "that's a fact" doesn't make something a fact. Younger folks like myself don't buy that BS approach to making an argument.

You have yet to provide any proof in favor of your argument, whereas others have shown proof against it. Pretty telling so far.

I have more important things to do than dig up clips of the RB's not hitting the holes they are supposed to. If you want proof, they usually post shortened versions of the games on YouTube. Otherwise use your eyes!

When Anthony Grant was born, he drove his mom home from the hospital. He'll carry us to victory tomorrow!

You see, that’s not how it works. If you make outlandish claims, and others give ample evidence that you are wrong, the only way to justify yourself is provide evidence that supports your claim. We don’t need proof to believe what you are saying. Your job is to convince the rest of this board that you are right.

But in typical fashion, you have responded the way you always do when backed into a corner. You claim to be right and everyone else is wrong, and you NEVER have time to provide even one shred of evidence to support your claim. EVER.

Classic OldJar.

Why don’t you turn your attention to the prospective coaches? Since, by your own admission, you indeed are the smartest in the room, tell us who we should get and why.

I won’t hold my breath. Nothing of value will be posted, and you will not put me on ignore, but you will whine and complain that I responded and most likely report me as well. That’s what will happen next.

Prove me wrong.

“I went camping with him… I’m in the back of a pickup with Anthony Grant and a live deer. Well, Grant, he grabs the deer by the antlers, looks at it and says, ‘I’m Anthony Grant! Say it!’ Then he squeezes the deer in such a way that a sound comes out of its mouth — “Anthonygrant!” It wasn’t exactly it, but it was pretty good for a deer.” Mark it, 1000+ yards this year!

Watch the game, that's the evidence right there. It's been shown 1 time for each RB that they hit a cutback. The game tape shows dozens of times where they missed the cutback.

It's pretty obvious Meyer should be the top choice. Top 5 all time in winning percentage ahead of Saban, Osborne, Stoops, etc., and that's all that really needs to be said.

I've never put anyone on ignore, and I only report people if they break the rules, and quite frankly have been a jackass to me. You've done the latter, but not the former as far as I can tell.

I could easily say to you, watch the game. For every missed cutback I saw 10 successful cutbacks. And if my proof is “watch the game,” how is that any different from what you’re saying? Others are at least providing clips to support their argument. You are not. And “watch the game” hasn’t changed the minds of the posters here.

And I know this is gonna be difficult for you to accept, but maybe people are jackasses to you because you have been a jackass to them. Perish the thought…

I haven't been though. I've never personally attacked anybody on here unless they've personally attacked me first. I don't automatically respect "authority figures", especially ones who are incompetent and make stupid decisions, and some people seem to take that as a personal insult against themselves for some reason.

Who's this "authority figure" of which you speak?

Idk about others, but I didn't resort to any personal attacks. I questioned your knowledge and asked you to prove your stance. If you can't, that's fine. But that'd mean you'd have to quit continuing harping on it as if it were fact and as if YOU were the authority on the matter.

Both are going to have to be re-recruited this offseason.
If our RB coach and Mickey are retained I don’t think it will be a problem. I’m kind of wondering if some of their success is coaching versus purely their talent

I will meet you halfway and say that I agree, you generally don’t attack people personally. But you absolutely attack what people post… can’t you see that people might take that personally?

By your standard, if I call your posts garbage (which I have on more than one occasion) that shouldn’t bother you.

Am I understanding this correctly?

Such authority figures would be AD's, coaches, college presidents, and the like. Like I said, I don't automatically respect these figures unless they earn that respect by displaying some type of competence. I'm hard on these "authority figures" if they display incompetence, and it's because I expect people in such positions to be competent at their jobs. I guess some people take that the wrong way on here. I've defended the same type of authority figures in the past when they have displayed competence, from Urban Meyer to Nick Saban to Osborne and even to Elon Musk outside of football.

No you didn't. You're one of the better posters on here and one I certainly respect. If we have one disagreement about something, that doesn't mean I'm trying to disrespect you or anything like that.
