You wake up next week and President Pelosi has signed into law a bill that allows you to keep 1 pistol, 1rifle, and 1 shotgun. What would be your 3, feel free to explain your choices.

1.Pistol- Wilson Combat 1911, its the most perfect example of the most perfect handgun ever invented.
2. Rifle- tough one, probably a bolt gun in 308. Winchester Model 70 Featherlight.
3.Shotgun- Beneli Super Black Eagle, will shoot anything, few moving parts to break, very versatile gun.

1: pistol: Sig Sauer p228 M11-A1. If you have the means... I highly recommend it. Great for concealed carry, reliable as the sun rising in the east, and an excellent shooting gun.

2: rifle: keeping my AR. And my stash of mags, assessories, parts, and other goodies.

3: shotgun: probably a Benelli M4

I would send Nancy a note reporting the theft of the guns I never owned.

Assuming something like this happened, you would give up hunting and only keep defense/military weapons

What guns? I lost them all in a boating accident.

If I were limited to one pistol, one rifle and a shotgun i'd go nuts. Variety is the spice of life. That said...

CZ-75 SP-01. Most accurate and reliable pistol I've ever owned. I've got a rail for a light, awesome trigger, 18 round mags and plenty of holster selection. Only other choice for me would be a Glock 19 even though I'm not personally a fan of the mid-sized Glocks, there's no denying their reliability and versatilty.

Rifle would be my SCAR-17. I've got plenty of mags and ammo. I can kill anything in North America with a 308 and it's light enough and compact enough to carry. Honorable mention would be my 6.8 AR, but ammo availability is not nearly what it is with a 308.

As far as a shotgun, I honestly don't know. I don't really have much of a need for a shotgun, but I guess it would be a Benelli SBE II if I couldn't just choose a second rifle.

1. Pistol: Any compact or subcompact 9mm (easy to find ammo). I'd go with my M&P shield for concealed carry purposes, but the Glock 19 would be a close 2nd.
2. Rifle: AR-15 cambered in 5.56 Nato. If some president starts taking away guns, I want to make sure I have an appropriate militia rifle. I go AR over my AK just for the availability of ammo, otherwise I'd take the AK.
3. Shotgun: For hunting purposes only, I'll keep my Remington 870. There's not much you can't hunt with a good 12 gauge and the 870 allows me to swap over to a rifled barrel for larger game.

Easiest question I've ever been axed
1. 1911. My gun will last my family 100s of year after you plastic guns break and the russians take over
2. AK. When the Ruskies and Al Qaeda invade you're gonna want to have something that you can shoot their ammo with after you svavenge their dead bodies.
3. 870. You can use the sumbitch as a boat paddle and a gun.

Older Kimber 84M in .308
Old, Benelli Super90... this pains me not putting the Browning A5 in a Light Twelve. Can I change my mind?

Pistol: west german p226 in 9mm
Rifle: This is a really hard one.. I narrowed it down to my DD MK12 with a 1-4 on it or ruger scout with a 2.75 burris scope. Probably take the ruger just because .308
Shotgun: 870

I'm more concerned with waking up to a nuclear winter due to President Trump's blatant incompetentce and ignorance. However, even in the depths of a nuclear winter, a man needs is guns.
Shotgun- Super Black Eagle with an extra barrel. (O-ring on barrel issue been there) Best shotgun ever made. Does not like low power shells though.
Rifle- Tough call but would go with my Winchester 270 stainless.
Pistol-An utterly worthless waste of metal that I do not own. So, I would trade my pistol quota for another shotgun, which would be the Winchester Model 12 Heavy Duck; second best shotgun ever made.
Then, I would want a Cadillac; "Good car to drive, after a war."

You have just lost one gun for failure to follow the rules. Mistakes were made. Me thinks you would not go hungry.

yeah i'm with Dolphus. gonna alter the rules somewhat i'm gonna go with a long range sniper rifle. tactical weapon and a shotgun. i'm not familiar with tactical weaponry or long range sniper rifles but i'm a quick learner. I just shoot with a .270 and a 12 or 20 gauge. Chris Kyle's favorite long range rifle was the 300 win magnum. i think i'd start with that...
Long Range sniper rifle = 300 win magnum (chris kyle's custom setup looks like it needs a surpressor though
http://precisionrifleblog.com/2015/01/17/american-sniper-chris-kyle-rifles/ )
Tactical: = AR15 5.56 nato w/ 40mm grenade add on
shotgun = 870

Pistol - I would keep one of my Walthers. I carry the PPS M2 everyday and the PPQ M2 when I want more capacity. Probably keep the PPQ
Rifle - AR10 / AR15 type rifle in .308. Handle both hunting and defense.
Shotgun - My favorite one I ever actually shot was a Browning A5.

Without the skills to use that precision rifle, you might as well pick something else. You are just toting dead weight. At least a pistol could be concealed if you needed to be a little more covert.

I'm a longtime NRA member but oddly enough am a relatively new gun owner. I'm not a hunter so my shooting experiences are my semi-monthly treks to my local gun range for pistol target practice.

I only have two pistols and a shotgun. My shotgun is a Remington 870 tactical and that's my primary home defense weapon.

My first pistol I purchased is a Remington 1911 R1. Certainly not the finest example of a 1911 but very affordable and (important to me at least) a very nice copy of the 1911 that Remington produced in WW2.

My concealed carry weapon is a small S&W J-frame model 442 (.38 special ammo) which I keep loaded with a self-defense round. I can't hit the broad side of a barn with it if it's over 10' away so in any serious confrontation I'll have to ask the bad guy to come closer and stop dancing around. Otherwise I'll never hit him with this pistol. A police officer recommended this pistol to me in particular but in general he liked revolvers because in his words "you pull the trigger and it goes bang". No need to worry about fail-to-feeds in a life or death situation but I do worry about the 5-shot capacity. Hopefully, I'll never have more than one assailant at a time.

I'm saving my pennies for a Walther PPKS, another iconic pistol (at least the original PPK). I've fired a friend's PPK but found the grip a little uncomfortable for the size of my hand so I would definitely go with the PPKS. It's been listed on Walther's website for quite some time but I don't believe their new manufacturing facility in Arkansas is actually producing them yet (at least not in 0.380).

So, I have no rifle...can I just keep my current lineup of my two pistols and shotgun?

Pistol - Para Ordnance LDA 12-45 (1911 style, 13 round, double row .45)
Rifle - S&W AR (with 5x BDC optic, HOLO, and backup irons)
Shotgun - I'll pass and just tote more mags, ammo, optics, socks, etc....

edit: These are weapons I possess... not a "wish list"...

i'm trying to maintain my location... i've shot targets at 200 yards with my .270. not perfect accuracy but i'm assuming an end of the world scenario. I want to be able to protect my property at long distances. This is a radical post so i'm posting radical situations. I'm obviously gonna hone my sniper skills with my sniper rifle. duh. that's why a surpressor is needed... for practice without attracting too much attention.

Love the Para LDA's. Probably the best gun nobody has ever heard of, its the best of both worlds in the pistol universe. I have a LDA Carry 9 and a LDA carry 45. Used to have a 12-45 but I couldn't get used to the double stack grip, small hand syndrome! Practically gave the 12-45 away, wish you had it for a matched pair.

Pistol- Ruger Redhawk 5-1/2" barrel. I can handload hot 44 magnum deer loads with it, 44 special loads for self defense, or 44 caliber mousefart loads for entertainment or small game hunting. Also no magazines to lose and it's built Ruger tough.

Rifle- This is a struggle for me. As much as I don't care for them, I think a .308 AR would be the most practical. I don't own one though.

If we are only picking from what we own, and not from an ideal standpoint, I would probably pick the 20" AR in 5.56. Not because it's my favorite rifle, but because they don't want us to have em so that makes me want to keep it just to piss politicians off. And I can't deny how useful is in multiple applications.

Shotgun- 870 Express Magnum. Cause it's the only shotgun I own and the only one I need.

Was in a pawn shop last year and they had a 410 revolver pistol. Anyone shot one of these. Looked bad arse but wonder if it is effective.

Probably the most useless firearm ever built. They are a overly-marketed gimmick of a gun. There will be people that say differently, but those folks don't know any better. They've just been fed the marketing hype.

I would enjoy learning the art of long range shooting. This type of shooting has little application in hunting down here but would be nice to master.

I'd be willing to teach you if you'd be willing to learn on an AR-10. All jokes aside though, once you master the fundamentals, it's all math and wind calls.

Pelosi as President would most likely mean that America as we know it has fallen / curfews / food rationing / "bail-ins" or $0.35 on the $1 of whatever you had in the bank / "Strong Cities Initiative" UN soldiers / etc.

So my picks would be less about hunting and more about family protection. Also I would want guns with calibers that are easy to find ammo...9mm, 5.56 NATO, and 12 gauge...so AR-15 Rifle, SR9 Pistol, and VEPR 12 Semi-Auto Shotgun.

No pistol. Never owned one. Never needed one.

Plan on picking me out a bolt action rifle soon.

Does my muzzleloader count in this?

My old 870.

I don't want to start another argument but I really don't see the need to regulate standard shotguns, standard rifles, muzzle loaders or single shot guns.

Stupid ****.

I went by the Wilson combat hq a few weeks ago. And also nighthawk custom arms.

1. I would have to go with my nighthawk 1911. Both are amazing pistols. I do not own a Wilson Combat 1911 yet, but hope to soon.

2. AR, or Mini-14. I have equal amounts of .223 and 5.56. But would be real tough to give up my M1 Garand.

3. Remington 870. 12 gauge can kill a Ford.

FACT, brutha... there's nuthin' wrong with Kimbers, Glocks, or Sigs...

but for reliability, capacity, and energy down range, I'm cool with it...

caveat: I bought it in 2001. way before there were 9mm +P rounds... they've almost caught up....
