I was shocked how good andrews defense is . Biggest difference in my opinion Andrews has more overall team speed. After watching them tonight they can play with anyone.

No disrespect you cannot gauge success from middle school to high school. I have seen kids good at middle school that couldn't make it at high school and terrible players turn out to be stars.
Western highlands is pathetic this year. Mitchell is only team with a pulse. Not looking good next Year, couple coaches told me it will be worst next year

Well tonight could have been a bigger disaster for me personally if not for a honest man. He found my card holder which had fell out of my pocket in the grass in the practice field parking and took it to the press box where someone knew me and where I was setting.
Well I said I wouldn’t make anymore comments till after the game. I just got home to Andrews. I couldn’t be more proud of my Wildcats. Next team up and only focus on that next game. Great atmosphere tonight and good luck to the Mountaineers the rest of the season

I know we was talking about how Mitchell has a tougher schedule than Andrews. But do they really. looking at there schedule there almost the same. Now hear me out Andrews don’t play nobody in the non conference schedule and Mitchell played Watauga which is a really good team. But that’s about it McDowell not that great and neither was Erwin. Erwin barley beat Brevard and Robbinsville beat them pretty handily . Now if we look at conference play who does Mitchell have to worry about? Mount heritage young. Seems like only team they have to worry about is Draughn. Besides Mitchell there conference combine win is I think 3 or 4 in there whole conference and that’s the rest of there season. Now Andrews does have a very weak non conference schedule beside Mitchell but Andrews conference the SMC they are gonna have to go threw the big 3 they got to play swain witch are never push overs then Robbinsville then Murphy so strength of schedule might be in Andrews favor over Mitchell
Western highlands is way down this year. For example; a team in East Rutherford who didn’t even field a varsity team the last two years beat Madison tonight.
It seems western highlands been down for years mostly a 2 man race
Right now all WHC teams suck. SMC is way stronger this year.

Andrews is really good. Big and Athletic with possibly the best player #7 in all of WNC. I know BK will argue but Weaver is one heck of a player. He’s killed Mitchell two years in a row.
Weaver is a great ball player but him and Cuttler Adams are about even with Cuttler being a year younger.
Agree western highlands is possible worst conference in the state. But mitchell is still good team.
Worst game by a mitchell team in several years. Give credit to Andrews they were ready to play and mitchell played like they hadn't seen a football. Andrews is really good and good luck the rest of the season.
Weaver reminds me of Casey randolph who played at heritage in 2009.
Weaver and Cuttler are really close in terms of talent and I'm not going to get in on who is better because they're both great, would be splitting hairs. Both about 6'1 190 lbs, both in the low to mid 11's in the 100 speed wise. They'll each have college football opportunities if their grades are right. With all that said Weaver translates a little better to the college level in my honest opinion, he's more fluid in his movement.
I went to the game last night and their line was fat out of shape and slow with no skill players the wildcats are way better do better next time
Work ethic probably isn’t anywhere close to Cuttlers is probably the “downfall” to the debate. Cuttler works harder in a couple hours than most men do in 2 days….

Watauga led that game 28-21 midway through the 3rd. They then fumbled on 3 straight possessions. So I’d say Mitchell is ok. The thing is I think they have some dissension among the players this year that they need to figure out.
Those seniors last year only 5 starters but they were leaders the others listened to them this year no leadership at all so far they should run Oklahoma all week and change captains that will get there attention

Let me say one thing before I move on to next weeks game. People must have a short memory. Have you guys forgotten what Mitchell achieved after the loss to Andrews last year ? They went on a rampage all the way to the State Championship !! Do Not overlook Mitchell

Per my source 4 kids quit for Mitchell after the game. Is this just rumor or is there some truth. I heard that many kids were mad at coach. Even heard one threw his helmet at Pittman. I hope this is just a ugly rumor because that kind of thing is a program killer. Pittman is a good coach which I think he has proved to this point so hopefully the kids realize that. I won’t say names but sounds like some key players if true
