I was afraid this was possible when he said he might not be able to come back in last week.

Has this been announced? And if so did it need to be?

i suppose with social media it is darn near impossible to keep these things under wraps until game day

Setting up to be a "Careful what you wish for because you just might get it" moment.
Doesn't matter the outcome, I got what I wished for, and I am glad. OK, so no one gets bent, I didn't wish for AM to get injured. I don't want the young man injured in any way. But, I couldn't be happier to see what Smothers and Haarberg can do with some prep time going into the off season. I also hope Scott doesn't set them up for failure so he can tell everyone, Told you so. Wish I didn't even have to think that was a possibility. But, TBH, I do fear that.

Yes you would think they would close practice to media and not release information

The Anti-A-Marters are a bit worried right now.

Huskers just put up 450 yards, on the road, vs "the best defense ever"

Now they are at home vs a lame *** Iowa team.

Lets see how the offense looks.

Lot's of option plays and that type of run game against Iowa then.

Just my opinion, but I think it's time to turn the page to a new chapter with a new OC and a new QB. Go out in the portal and bring in 1 or 2 QB's, an older guy, and younger guy. Build up competition in the room.

Frost isn't some kind of monster. He not going to somehow sabotage the new QB's and somehow manage to win at the same time, which he needs to do yesterday.

Haha...I know!

It is posts like that guy that make me realize how normal I am compared to sooooo many people.

"Tell Logan to take a knee!"

"But coach it is 1st and 10 and the first play of the game?!"

"TAKE A ******* KNEE!"

Frost is kind of in a no win position here
We beat Iowa and everyone is up in arms saying he sabotaged 1+ years by not playing Smothers

if we lose - given the past 4 years there is no way we could claim to have beaten Iowa with AM

It’s more like a “stupidly stubborn head coach that refuses to prepare any other QB to play even though his starter gets hurt every year” moment.

Sucks for A-Mart, but I am glad we get to see this. I hope Frost calls the offense he intends to look at going forward, and I am pysched to see what Smothers and Haarburg can do. I think Smothers has a 'quick blinker" and he will need it against Iowa.

We can still win AND have Smothers look average

Did you see Smothers run the ball Saturday? He literally ran into Cam Jurgens and fell like he got shot.
Yeah but did he throw an interception that looked like a punt and wasn't within 15 yards of a Nebraska player when the Wisconsin defender caught it?

Well, Frost certainly can't afford whoever comes in to look good, so keep that in mind.

Yeah, I think Frost is primarily motivated to prove everyone wrong that he couldn't keep his job at 3-9. He'll show us.
