This board is so much better when you put all the trash on ignore. Don't feed the trolls.
Has knee issues.. all last season I believe.. rumor is he is having knee surgery, and will be taking a year to rehab. Probably why Pope didn't pursue him... and also think Pope has his sights on some higher level players.
sure makes UL fans feel pretty good though doesn't it.
We stole a player from Kentucky!
no, you stole a player from BYU, who was injured and is redshirting.

Is not the greatest look for Pope is it?
Or are there some extenuating circumstances I'm not aware of...?

He's not very good so yeah no one cares about this
Dudes role would have been extremely limited here. He’s a big who can pass well and that’s about it. Can’t score.
Uh, yeah, his high school coach is an assistant at UL now.
He's redshirting at UL for Christ's sake. What does that tell you?
Guy is injured and won't be playing this upcoming year. We need players that can come in and contribute right away
He is not a KY player. If he was he would be here. He also has a significant knee injury that will require surgery and lengthy recovery time.
In no way is this a bad look on Pope.

We just landed a player a lot better than him. and another when Osobor aka Oscar T. 2.0 picks us.
The OP a UL fan or Arkansas fan because its definitely one of the 2

OP been out the loop…welcome back …a lot of good **** been going since that news broke.
He has a bum knee, is redshirting, slow. Pope wants to win now and Aly doesn't give us that literally.
He's hurt. Sitting out a year. Not good enough. Fans would have bitched and moaned if he took up a scholarship.
The fact that he didn't come to UK says more about him not being UK caliber for a coach who desperately needs to put together a competitive roster than anything else, IMO.

Khalifa is out of shape and doesn't have the scoring ability or athleticism to not get eaten alive in the SEC. He was a complete liability on defense last year at BYU. The fast offenses in the SEC would shred him. Nothing against Aly personally. At all. He just does not have what it takes to be a starter here, and maybe not to even be in the 8-man rotation.
Amari and Osobor, separately, are infinitely better prospects for us.

Typically when a player isn’t UK material, they typically end up at a school that’s a better fit for them. Some people are acting like Pope came from UCONN or Houston or whatever, instead of BYU! BYU is the HARDEST P5 (or otherwise) program to recruit to, by a large margin.
For every 500-1000 recruits, there’s maybe 1-2 that would even consider BYU, and that’s if they are already Mormons!
