Phenomenal recruiter - by far the best in today's college game. But Calipari - actually the entire coaching staff - has been out-coached in the final games of each of the last two seasons.

Cal's decision to stall with us up by 4 allowed Wisky to go on a 12-2 run to end the game. YOU DON'T GIVE UP MOMENTIUM WILLINGLY!
For all his talk of being aggressive, he abandoned it late in the game. Why???
And there is a reason we lost tonight. All the reasons are the same person. None of them cancel the other out.Originally posted by corned_beef:
There's a reason Cal won AP coach of the year. There's a reason our Cats have been in the Final Four four times in the last 5 years.

Oh, OK. Tell us who you would prefer our coach to be, then.Originally posted by Seth C:

I'd prefer it to be Cal, and I'd prefer he learn from this mistake, which he has been making for nearly a decade.Originally posted by corned_beef:

God willing, he will sign on to Rupp's Rafters and learn something from your wisdom.Originally posted by Seth C:

So, now what? Why the false equivalences and straw men?

This has cost him two titles now. And it cost a perfect season for us. The season is a bust now and i don't care what anybody says. If we couldn't win it with this team what can you win it with? More and more it looks like it took one of the alltime greats (Davis) to win Cal 's first one.
Yup, hopefully he sticks around, mans up, and learns from his mistake. However, considering he clearly didn't after it cost him a championship in Memphis I doubt he will now. I HOPE he does, but until I hear him admit his own failure I won't hold my breath.Originally posted by Cawood86:

Very true. If you can't win this much talent, not sure you can win another one. This season this team had one goal, a National Championship. No way to spin this IMO, this was a failure in coaching and I absolutely love Cal. He failed this team and his players.
He sure did. Cal sucks so bad.Originally posted by Cawood86:

Don't confuse us with a reasonable viewpoint.Originally posted by dave5164:
Here we go giving the Media the Reason Kentucky Fans are the worse in NCAA Basketball. We go 38-0 and leading by 4 with 3minutes and you want to blame it all on Coach Cal! We really shouldn't be 38-0 this year and would that made it easier tonight for you if we were not undefeated. I just don't think we need to Blame all of this on Coach Cal!
Uh, were you watching the game? The media (commentators) were the ones questioning his stall ball strategy.Originally posted by dave5164:

I agree. Has Gillispie actually signed that contract with Ranger College?Originally posted by JFCats22:
Cal's grind tactic cost him a title at Memphis, nearly cost us in 2012, and cost us tonight.
Another wasted opportunity. 1/6 in Final Fours is Cal, not real impressive.
Where did he say that he wanted someone else?Originally posted by corned_beef:

I can't believe people are truly this dense.Originally posted by catsfan85:
Haha. Love to see you guys coach this team.
Cal is an excellent coach. He led this team to 38-0. Go ahead and run him off. Heard Tubby or Gillespie is interested in taking the job again.
